How much more to switch?

We currently have a 6 night stay at the POR booked for February (value season, room-only). I'm debating about switching over to one of the deluxe hotels (probably the Poly). Does anyone know about how much more I'd have to spend? I know I could check this out on Disney's website, but my computer is so old that it freezes up almost every time I go to the site! :sad2: Also, the deluxe hotel rates are currently unavailable on this site.
Thanks all!;)

I don't know the price differences off the top of my head, but a change from a mod to the Poly will be a hefty increase. You could try changing to AKL or WL for a little less of an increase.

You can call WDW and they'll know the rates...that way your computer won't freeze - but your brain might after 10 minutes of princess: "I know you, I walked with you once upom a dream". :) The WDW site is one slow-loading site, that's for sure!

The lowest Poly rates are more than twice the POR rates, so depending on your exact dates, it would be at least $1300 more.

I just did some pricing at 10 nights at the poly with tickets and dining was $7,400. I did the POFG and it was $4,900 for the same package. I don't know if that helps.

I had this same problem, and I just today bit the bullet and switched to a Poly garden view. I am going for 6 nights as well, as was originally booked at POFQ. With my AAA/CAA discount (10%), it was roughly $1000 more for the 6 nights.

That being said, this is my once in a lifetime, celebratory solo trip since DS6 cannot come with me this year. I plan to come back to the resort midday for some R&R, so for me, the resort is also a consideration. In addition, if I factor in what I would be paying for my DS's airfare from Canada and park hopper, it comes out pretty close to what I would be spending. (Way to justify it to myself ... lol).

When we go back together in 2009, I am sure we will be staying moderate or value again. I'm taking my chance to stay at my dream resort!
