How much more crowded are EMH days at the Magic Kingdom?

I'm trying to determine which days to visit which park(s) on our upcoming trip. The two days that fit best in our schedule to visit MK are both EMH days (one AM, one PM). Because of that, they are both not recommended days by EasyWDW. How much busier is the MK on an EMH day? We are resort guests and do rope-drop, but the idea of getting up in time for AM EMH is not very appealing.

We are going in early-mid May.

As a CM, I don't see much of a difference except for obviously the recent weeks with MNSSHP. PM EMH nights are most definitely not as busy and the end of the night the park is nearly empty.

If you're NOT going to get up to take advantage of the early EMH, I would choose the late EMH day. If you choose the early, by the time you get to the park there will be thousands of guests already in the park and in line.

Well, we were at Pop a couple weeks ago and the bus line for MK EMH was lonnnng. There were about six buses that came and went and everyone still didn't get on. Fast forward to the next day when we went to MK around the same time for an early ADR, not an EMH day, and there were a lot less people in line. We met some ladies on the bus in the afternoon who said they waited in line a long time for a bus that morning and arrived a lot later than they planned. Based on this one scenario, I would say MK EMH are a lot busier.

Good luck with your planning!
