How much is your trip to WDW?

Here is what we are spending for our upcoming November trip for my DH, DD 4, DD10 and myself.

Airport roundtrip transportation $50.00

Airfare roundtrip with Airtran: $994.76 (could have saved $500.00:eek:)

3 days at Pop Century w free dining 1 QS and 1 sitdown plus one day park ticket for each :$948.04

MVMCP tickets: $230.00

Happy Limo: $215.00 (to and from port)

DCL bounceback cruise: $726.92 with trip insurance verandah room cat 6
also doing glass bottom boat tour for excursions

Spending money for both DCL and WDW $600.00 I have been buying shipboard credit every paycheck to lessen the blow lol!

Day room at the Hyatt at MCO $89.00

$3853.72 total

Not to personal for me. I'd like to get an idea if I overspend as much as a certain DH tells me I do. This will be our 3rd trip and I think last one for a number of years. Knowing my 9 year old WDW will be "lame" before too long. I'll just have to wait until she grows up and rediscovers the magic! :)

I just booked us for 12/4 - 12/13/09 for 2 adults 1 child (9)
Package $4,556
- Polynesian for 8 nights
- Deluxe dining plan
- Christmas party - approx $150 on top of package
- ECV rental (offsite company) - approx $300
- town cars (departing airport-MCO to WDW- WDW to MCO - home from airport) $300
- possible Discovery Cove - $750
- air far - it I get it soon approx $725
- photopass $200
without spending and tips its about $6,900
Adding in misc spending I'd say we'll spend around $8,000

We are doing a extended family trip 5 adults 1 child (2).

Deluxe Hotel (Animal Kingdom Lodge w/savannah view 1bdroom) $4174
6 day park hoppers $1415
Free Dining Plan for 5 adults
Airfare $780
5 tickets to MNSSHP $250
Total: Around $6600

We are also bringing $1500 to buy things and for tipping since we get charge 18% since we are a party of 6

Disney can be done with a variety of different budgets. It all depends on what you want to do, where you want to stay. You can stay off site for as low as $35 a night, or stay on site and spend $100-$400+ per night for a room. Then there are choices for what kind of tickets you buy. Will you buy for multiple days? Will you park hop? Will you visit the water parks or Disney Quest? Do you have travel expenses to and from Orlando? Will you rent a car? There are so many different variables. Personally, we prefer to stay Deluxe, on site, like participating in the dining plan, always park hop and get the water park option, and like to stay for 10 days. We love the Beach Club and won't stay any where else. We also have airfare expenses. We don't rent a car as we don't need one when we stay on site. For our most recent visit in May, we spent about $8000+. Now....my sister and her family of four have gone the last several years, stayed 10 days, had park hopper with water park, and participated in the dining plan and they were able to do it for half of that by staying at a Disney Value, Pop Century. In my opinion, the only way to do Disney is to stay on site! I have done it both ways and would never stay off again as it is a different experience entirely and well worth the extra money.

This is a BUDGET trip for us. We are 5, me, DH, DS14, DS12 and DS6. We are staying at POR Riverside for 5 nights.

Package 1904 with Free Dining
Airfare 108 x 5=540
Spending money 300
Tips 200
Being dropped off at airport (20 minutes away)

So give or take it is about 3000+ We go every year so we don't need to do the extras (Disney Quest, Water Parks and MNSSHP) Done them all many times before. Grandparents give each son money for spending) So for a family of 5, I think it is a great price!

for me it will be around 32500 to 3000 euros as im going solo it is a bit more exspensive

Here are my estimates for our last trip:

We stayed offsite at a 3 bedroom condo for 8 days/ 7 nights and drove from southern NH.

Gas: 175
Hotels we stayed at while driving: 200 (one night each way)
Lodging: 900 (we got a great buy 5 nights get 2 free deal)
Tickets: 1000
Food: 700 (We brought breakfast foods and snacks from home and set a goal of spending no more than $100 a day and we stuck to it! Many days we spent even less thanks to coupons for many chains that we used and gift cards from family. It also helps that we brought our 2 year old who just likes to pick a little off of everyone's plates.)
$ for souvenirs for the kids: 140 (Each kid had a $50 limit. My oldest two managed to spend only $40, but I spent $60 on my daughter.)

So, we spent a little bit over $3000. Not bad for being away from home for 10 days with a family of 5. We love to go to Disney and figure when they get older, we'll probably start adding many more extras to our trips. But until then, our kids are 6, 4, and 2 and are happy enough just to be on vacation that they don't notice that all we do is go the parks and swim at the pool.

we are a family of 3 , 2 adults and 1 child 7 ..

i did the package deal with dinning plan. we are going 2 times this year oct. and dec. so it was $ 2201.86 for 4 days at all star music + dinning and 10 days of non exp tickets with park hopper. so we have tickets for the next few trips down there.

stay on site parking is free :)

gas 140 ( round trip )
tips 200$
MNSSHP 170
fun money 300$

so about 3G total. I over budget as a just in case. but i normaly come back with extra money. i remember my first trip down there and was very worried i didn't take enough money.. I took envilopes and put 100$ in each on for every day i was there and what ever was left i would add to the next day . that way i was in my daily budget. we didn't spend that much a day.

For us, we go only when I can get a discount or have a pin code. I apologize that this is ballpark as I don't have any of the paperwork or emails anymore.

Our last trip in may was the 4/3 deal for the room at the Contemporary book as a package with regular DDP and 8 day park hoppers - about $3200
Rental Car - about $180
Gratuity, "adult" beverages, OOP food/drink expenses - about $400
Misc expenses (balloon ride in DTD, souvenirs) - about $200

My husband laughs at me, because no matter what "deal" I find, we always end up spending about $4,000 for an 8 day/7 night trip.

This is for 2 adults and 1 child.

Well, as we can see you can spend quite a varying amount for a Disney trip. We are going in Sept. with my SIL and her family. Both families have 3 disney adults, and 1 child. 2 very different budget levels. This is first trip for DSIL, and they are on a much tighter budget. We are not and wanted to try Deluxe this year cause of the queen sized beds and bunk beds. We don't get any sleep sharing doubles at the values.

So, my budget:

Flights: $900
AKL, MYW, Free Dining: $3000
Tips: $200
Misc travel and hotel at airport: $500
Souvies: $300

Total: $4900

SIL Budget:

Flights: $700 (not Direct)
ASSp, MYW, Free Dining: $1666
Tips: $200
Misc travel & Hotel at Airport: $500
Souvies: $100 (there are 2 of them celebrating B-Days, so they will take the gift cards)

Total: $3166

Oh - I forgot about our flights! Oops!

We always take Continental direct flights, and for the past few trips one of us has had enough miles/points for a free flight. The flights are generally $200 or less r/t per person, so I always budget $600 for flights, but the last few times have spent $400 or less for the 3 of us.

We went August 2008 (wish I was there now..)

It was dh, myself, dd (then 7½), ds (nearly 5) & dd (2½).

Airfare for the 5 of us was $945 on Jet Blue & my dad took us to the airport so we didn't have to pay for parking (yay!).

We used ME.

Poly for 7 nights was about $2000, maybe $2200 as I can't remember. I think it was either $260 or $280/night.

Park tickets-5 day park hoppers & we only needed 4 since dd was still free. I got them thru AAA so they were around $900.

Food which we paid out of pocket for was about $800 which included Chef Mickeys (paid for 4 of us since youngest was free), WCC (paid for 5 of us) & Ohanas for breakfast (paid for 4). Plus we ate at RFC (paid for 5 of us). The rest was CS as well as drinks & treats around the world.

We (OK ME) spent about $200 in souvies.

So I guess around $5000.

Upcoming trip, this Monday, 10 days, 9 nights, POP, Free dining. Myself, DW, DD and DS. Roughly $1800 with travel costs. Were driving, so saving a LOT there. Total package from Disney just over $1500, so I'm adding $300 for gas, food and lodging on the way down. I'm very happy with this price, especially for 10 days.

For reference, stayed at CSR for 9 days 8 nights back in June for $2300 on teh 4/3 deal. Also drove.

Tickets- $300
Airfare-$600
Military Room/Dining (7ts 7qs 7s) for 3people for 7days- $1234

Total- $2134

we are bringing about $1000 for souvies, but hoping not to spend it all.

Its not real cheap I know.

I'm not entirely sure I want to see the numbers added up! Right now, we're pricing based on rack rate for 8 nights at the Poly, in two rooms, with deluxe dining for 4 adults, 1 child, and 1 free infant.

Room/ticket/dining package (Us ): $6368.09
Room/ticket/dining package (Mom): $4166.72
Airfare: $1395
Tips: $500
Spending Money: $500 (including mini golf, boat rental, Pirates League)
Grocery delivery: $100 (diapers, Pepsi products, beer)

Grand total: $13030.41 :faint:  :faint:

Since we're traveling in January, though, I'm expecting a fairly good discount on the room to come out. I'm hoping for 4/3 or something nearly as good, because that would save us about $2500 on our packages. I'm pretty sure airfare will come down too. I priced it to fill in my budget spreadsheet, but haven't booked yet. Right now, Airtran and Spirit are only running specials into Nov & Dec, so I'm waiting until the January discounts become available to book. And my mom will be covering part of her package, probably not all, but a big chunk; if we were paying the whole thing, we'd have booked a moderate.

Booked last year with the Free Dining Bounce back offer.

10 nights at POR
1 day MYW base ticket
free regular dining (but paid to upgrade to deluxe plan)

$2600.

$248 for my DH and DD7 5 day MYW plus waterpark and more option (military tickets) Mine are free

Total for our Disney Trip = $2850, but that doesn't include tips or souvenirs.

Because I'm in the military and stationed overseas we will be renting a car for the entire month we will be in the states: $1032 for rental car from 3 Sept - 1 Oct. (we are visiting from Europe, so we are spending some time with friends and family, and HOPEFULLY my brand new grand daughter)

And we are flying Space A so our tickets are like $26 a piece each way.

Hotel for nights we will not be in Florida or at WDW = approx $1000

Grand total $5038, this doesn't include food for the days we aren't at WDW, gas, or the other entertainment we are doing outside of WDW.

:eek:OMG:eek::faint:, I don't think I should've answered this post. I didn't realize we were spending so much on this trip. Oh well, next year maybe we will only do WDW and make everyone else come visit us instead of us visiting them.

We went to WDW in January, March and July this year - I didn't keep track of our costs but they were each in the 2-3K range. We normally don't go that often or spend that much but that's the way it worked out this year.

My next WDW trip will be a solo trip in January - probably 9 or 10 nights.

Driving - $250 for gas and food on the road
DVC - "Free"
Annual Pass - "Free" for this trip since I paid for it last time
Shopping and Souvenirs - probably $100 but I have all the Disney stuff I will ever need!!
Food - not sure if I will do the Dining Plan but say $500 for all meals and snacks except for travel days

So, less than a thousand for the week and a half I'll be there!! I love this kind of trip - it makes up for the costly ones!

My husband and I like to try the newest resorts so we booked last December for the upcoming Thanksgiving trip (Nov 25-Dec 2)and are staying @ BLT studio MK view
Airfare: $450.40
BLT Resort 7 nights/MYW/PH/Water & Fun/free dining plan: $3905.56
1 night free @ Dolphin (SPG member)
Car Rental:$395 for the week
Grand Total: $4750.96

My neice and her family is also coming for the holiday
2 adults/2 kids 9 and 5
Airfare:$700 (she booked one ways on 2 different airlines: $95 one way and $79 the other!)
ASMo: 8 nights/MYW/PH/ upgraded to Stand. Dining Plan: $1960
using ME for transportation
Grand Total: $2660
:tink: Plus we are using all of our Disney Visa Rewards and treating everyone to MVMCP. (the look on my grandneice's faces when they see the Castle all "iced" out - priceless!)

We are a family of 6 staying at the ASMU 9/18-9/28/2009. My kids are 10,8,7, and 5. So essentially we are paying for 3 adults and 3 children according to WDW. We managed to get on the free dining gravy train but have to pre-plan for the 18% tip as we are a family of 6. Honestly, I hate that as we have recieved some PRETTY bad service as a large family from a few places and would have preferred to not have to have left as large of a tip.... Others were extraordinary and we would have stacked it onto theirs....LOL! Anyhoo..

2 rooms/ food/ Parkhoppers 10 days&Nights- 3716.12
Airfare- 924.00
Tip $- 280.00
souvies- 500.00
________________
$5420.12

We will probably not spend that much on souveneirs but we do have it set aside just in case. We haven't been in almost 3 years so I would like the kids to get a T-shirt/hoodie or something. They are pretty thrifty though. So we will see.

We have rented a house for 7 days in Emerald Island Resort 2 miles from Disney; 4 bedrooms, 3 ba, indoor pool and hottub. Our half (going with my parents) was 600.00 for the week. This includes me, my husband, 16 year old son, 4 year old daughter, and 20 month old daughter.
House - 600.00
Gas - 200.00
Parking- 60.00
Groceries - 300.00
5 day Hopper tickets -375.00 (military deal)
Sea World - Free (military deal)
Disney items purchased throughout the year at Disney Store and outlet - 100.00

1635 is our total not including the one meal we have planned to eat at Disney World and souveniers. I have bought Disney cups, shirts, sunglasses, hats, pins, stickers, and small toys on serious discounts over the past year that the kids don't know about. They will each get a Disney prize in the morning and then in the evening.Hopefully that will appease the gimmes, lol! We leave the 20 of September!
