Ours is 1.80 plus .40 for milk. I am thinking about just sending lunch starting next year, because they just make the same stuff day in and day out (pizza, chicken nuggets, etc.etc.)
$2.40 last year, and I would not be surprised if it is higher this year. The kids seem to like most of what is on the menu, and there are some healthier choices available most days.
Ours is $1.50, and the quality is terrible. Our menu is more like appetizers: chicken fingers, nachos, mozzarella sticks, etc. I hate it. We teachers have been begging the director to make a more healthy menu, but she insists that she's within state guidelines, so she won't change.
My elementary student brings 90% of the time. My middle schooler buys her lunch, but they have a salad bar and subs and soups - - much more appropriate.
2.75- they get choices- if they don't like the 2 hot choices they have salad, bagel and butter, pizza or peanut butter and jelly. They usually have different things each day and they repeat only twice a month.
Ours is a small school (~93 students this year) with no cafeteria service. The PTO organizes a "hot lunch" program by having volunteer moms pick up food. It's $3.50-3.75 per meal (like a 6 inch Subway sand. and small chips) and doesn't include a drink.
