I'm amazed how economical so many can be when going to WDW....We want to be as comfortable as possible and as efficient with our time as possible on our vacation. We've been to DL a few times, but this will be our first WDW trip as a family. DW and I like to have our own sleeping space on vacation, and our kids sleep WAY better if they don't share a bed so we've booked DVC villas by renting points. Our family is much happier if all are well rested.

Myself (36), DW (36), DS (10), DD (7)

We have 3 people, 3 nights at Universal's HRH and 9 nights at wdw (5 nights BWV and 4 nights BLT both 2BR). 5 ADRs total, including the chefs table at V&A on our last night. The rest will be CS meals and I plan to cook. We're flying and will hire a town car to transfer us , but no rental car.

Total cost is about 14K, which is 3 times our usual summer vacation. DD22 is graduating from college, so we're going all out. So proud of her AND I won't have to pay tuition next year so the splurge is okay. :)

CSR Jr. Suite + 5 day PH + DDP = $5,587

Would love a discount, but for this trip, I'm splitting the cost, so my portion is manageable. If I had to pay the entire cost, our choices would be much different.

I probably shouldn't add this all up but here goes! :upsidedow We're traveling Mid-Late June with my family of 5 and my parents, and following up our Disney days with a quick cruise to recharge.

Here are our expected expenses:

Gas/food/hotel for 2 days driving down from PA

1 day/1 night
2 adults 3 children (9, 7, 2)
Ritz Carlton Grande Lakes
FREE (Using Marriott points)
Plus food, tips

5 days/4 nights
4 adults 3 children (9, 7, 2)
$4,144 - Wilderness Lodge, 2 Standard Rooms, 5-day tickets w/Free Park Hopper
$169 - Memory Maker
Plus food, tips, souvenirs

5 days/4 nights
4 adults 3 children (9, 7, 2)
$3,682 - RCCL Enchantment of the Seas, Royal Family Suite w/Balcony
$580 - Dolphin Swim excursion
$462 - Drink packages for DH and me :drinking1
Plus tips

Gas/food/hotel for 2 days driving back to PA

So we're currently at $9,037 without Disney food and souvenirs, and travel expenses both ways!

June 20-July 3, 2 adults and DS14, DD8, ASMusic, 10 day park hopper, WPFM option, DxDP, $9300. We drive from Texas. So add in gas, meals and one night on the way there and home, could easily hit $10K. I've had this booked since August 2014 and we're traveling with a large group. Some flying, others driving. This is just my families cost.

Added summer discount, upgraded hotel, lowered dining plan. Modified ressie is POR royal room, garden view. 10 day PHWPFM tix, DDP, MM & insurance, $7997.47. Still need to add in travel there & back, so maybe $8500 now. DH has done a lot of travel this year, more coming up in May, will more than likely be able to book rooms for free for trip there & back.

We are doing quick and cheap this year. :)
3 adults, 3 kids (one infant though). 3 nights at CBR, 1 day MK tickets. We are just going for the 24 hour event for my daughter's tenth birthday. We are driving because we just decided a few days ago to go.
Package $1150
Gas $300
Food $300 (doing 24 hour event so figuring on MOSTLY doing snacks and not too many full meals)
Other travel Expenses $300 (hotels and food during drive)
Souvenirs: $200

$2250

So yeah, cheap this year. Next year we are doing 11 nights and MNSSHP and MVMCP and flying so we won't get off so easy!

I booked a bounce back while staying at AKL over Thanksgiving.

AKL 10 nights/11 days July 2015
2 adults/ 1 child
5 day base tickets with water park and more option
$3,080 w/ 35%off bounce back:cool1:
NO dining paying OOP-budgeting $1000.00 for food/tips & snacks. We are taking our own soda & bottled water.
$1000.00 extra cash for gas, alcohol, etc.
Total: $5,080.00

So...I've changed dates/resorts.

August 1-8
2 adults/1 child
Wilderness Lodge
6 day base with one day at Blizzard Beach
$2300.00
No DDP paying OOP $1000.00
Extra cash for tips, gas, souvenirs, etc. $1000.00
Total $4300.00

We like to do Deluxe dining as my DD4 - loves characters and DH and I like to recharge. With all we do the dining breaks even when adding in tips. So it is ok - but will be glad when she outgrows that :-) It is a TON of food. But we end up with lots of snacks to bring home to share with friends!

5 day PH
Deluxe Dining
$4,400
2 different bday cakes for 2 different celebrations = $260
