How much is your 2012 Disney Vacation costing this year?

You can only use one promotion at a time. I dismissed this post as the poster being confused.

Thank you so much for being so observant. I meant to say I booked before free dining was offered. So the room rate wasn't super high which is what Disney does when offering you free dinning. But my whole post should not be 'dismissed" because I didn't know how to express this...I did write it at like 2 am. Aww can't you just feel the love.:goodvibes:santa:

Lack of sleep can = confusion. :goodvibes. Wasnt meant to be rude...I just didn't want another reader to think that you can stack discounts, because you can't.

When you get free dining, you pay rack rate (full price) on the room...just to be clear for other readers.

I didn't want to call you on it, until somebody got the wrong idea. Again, no offense meant.

But we have one more years of Disney Tickets...yay!
Already have another 3 trips book for the rest of the year.
I think we will be at POP and AOA and one week off site in our friend condo.

Disney wasn't much. Universal, however, kicked my bum, considering the percentage of the vacation I will be spending there (3 days 3 nights vs 12 days, 11 nights) Adding a few extra days to the disney stay would have been far cheaper.

Trip dates 8/8 - 8/22

Grand Total was 6667.50 (I was ~1600 over budget, but I don't regret any choices).

Here's the breakdown:

14 day stay in Orlando (3 nights at Universal, 11 at DisneyWorld at Pop)

Universal Cost ($1752.95)
3 days of 2 park meal tickets for 1 Adult and 1 Child
Round Trip Meet and Greet Hotel Transportation
3 day Multi Park Tickets
3 nights at the Leows Royal Pacific Resort (Standard Room)
Hotel, meal plan and ticket cost - 1572.95

Add ins
Blue Man Group tickets for 1 Adult, 1 Child (poncho zone) - 180

Disney Cost (4261.55)
10 day Park Hopper and WP&M
11 night Stay at Pop Century (Preferred Room)
Magic Your Way plus Deluxe Dining
Hotel, meal plan and ticket cost - 3525.45

Add ins
2 Day Base Tickets (1 adult, 1 child) - 362.10
La Nouba tickets (section 204 for 1 Adult, 1 Child) - 174
Dine with an Imagineer at Brown Derby - 130
Richard Petty Driving Experience (Child) - 70

Flights ($653)
Down - 219.60
Back - 315.60 + 117.80 (I have a leg back to Atlanta after I drop of the kiddo with her mom in DC)

This summer is a splurge trip for us - 2 adults, 2 teens spending 7 days / 6 nights at a Boardwalk Club Level Garden Cottage. Food includes a dinner at Victoria and Albert's. There is also an extra cost because we purchased our APs for this trip.

Resort -- $3378
Tix - APs - ~$2200
Plane - $1235
Dining - ~$2000

Total ~$9000 - about $1000 over what I planned to spend, but it's worth it!

Contrast that to our planned Christmas week trip where we will be staying 6 days at Grand Floridian (2 standard rooms).

Resort - $1470 (yes, for 2 rooms at GF the week between Christmas and New Years! Conference rate, and work will be paying for one of the rooms) :dance3:
Tix - $0 (using APs)
Plane - $0 (saving our Southwest points for this trip)
Dining - $1500 (holiday surcharges but no V&A's)
Misc -

Total ~$3000. We may have an exchange student with us so that would increase our cost about $1000 for flight, tix and dining.

You'll love Blue Man Group! We did the show Dec. 2010, had an absolute blast!

2 Adults, 2 Children
7 nights at the Poly, Parkhoppers, Deluxe Dining, Airfare, and Magic Express:

$6700.18

Souveniers - $500 max
Massage for DH - $190
Pirates Adventure for kids - ???
Tips... still have to figure it out
Movie for 2 at AMC
Childcare 2 nights at Neverland and in-room sitting
New footwear for me and clothes for DH for trip

This is our splurge trip for my 40th birthday - 9 nights! We've only stayed 7 before. We are going over Thanksgiving.
5 nights 2 bdrm VWL and 4 nights standard 2 bdrm AKV - 357 DVC pts costs about $2500 with dues and initial buy in factored in

6 day PH for 6 - $1800 (2 were from a trip 2 years ago that hadn't been used- still factored in their cost, but they were less expensive) We are waiting to upgrade them as they were the best deal on UT. We will add a couple more days and/or water park option depending on weather + $300

MVMCP tickets about $360 - no discount for the night we can go!:headache:

Direct flights for 6 - $1622 - $1000 rewards = $622

TIW $100 - still debating on this as we only have 5 TS meals, but have 4 boys who can really eat!:rotfl2:

Food and misc. $1500

This was tougher to put together than I thought....

We are going Oct 13-27.

The first 3 nights are at Wyndam Bonnet Creek - $347
The next 10 nights are at AKL-Jambo [pt rental] $1364
The last night is at the Swan $14 + park [SPG Points]
F/S SUV Rental $329
YES 8d P/H tix [2A, 1C] $610
Legoland Tix [2 days] $219
MNSSHP Tix $183

So, what I can figure is $3066. This is our longest trip yet.

This does not include airfare, as I cobbled together FF points and some cash, but can't get the breakdown easily. Seems like I paid $150 for the go non-stop on Virgin and $10 for the return on JB for the 3 of us, but I could be off by $100....

This trip was to replace a 14night Disney Cruise to Hawaii, so I am really doing well at bring the expenses down but still giving us an amazing vacation. Currently, I'm $4,000 to the good....and that was off the base price of the cruise before all the "add ins".

You'll love Blue Man Group! We did the show Dec. 2010, had an absolute blast!

That's great to hear! I'm extremely excited to see them again. The last time I saw them was in Dallas/Ft. Worth when they were on tour (scrounged up some free tix from a co-worker!)

I doubt they'll be doing my favorite cover of theirs though (Alice, by Jefferson Starship)...if you haven't heard it, check it out. It's epic!

1799

Were driving down $200 in gas

MNSSHP Tickets $162.85

Total: 2161.85

The gas is an estimate based on gas prices right now through gasbuddy.com, so that might go up or down a few bucks depending on prices in September..hopefully down :)

We'll take around $1200 for souvenirs, tips, BBB for dd, extra drink/food money, and basically "just in case" money.

2 adults for a Disney / Sea World / Universal trip (I'll break it out) for Sept 21th - 30th

$ 185 Flight for two (Used the 50,000 miles signing up for credit card at $69 annual fee)

DISNEY

$1,158 for AoA 7-nights with Free Quick Service Dining and 2Day base tickets
$ 432 for 2 7-day MYW Park Hopper plus water tickets through YES program
(we're going to save the 2 Day base tickets for another trip)
$120 2 MNSSHP tickets

$1,895 for Disney portion

UNIVERSAL

$403 for Royal Pacific hotel for two nights with AP rate (gets early admission and express pass)
$294 3 day 2 park passes from Costco for Universal
$54 Universal Superstar Character breakfast for two (ouch! couldn't resist)
$110 Halloween Horror Nights Frequent Fear passes for two

$861 for the Universal portion (plus addition food costs)

Sea World and Aquatica we have annual passes purchased through Sesame Place
$147 for Discover Cove

We've been using the annual passes since our trip last November for Sea World, Busch Gardens and Sesame Place so I don't count that cost this trip as the tickets have more than paid for themselves throughout the year.

We'll also need some taxi money throughout the trip for transport from Disney to Universal and Universal to MCO, so that's not included here.

Grand total: $2,903 just go ahead and add me to the :scared1:
