I'm wondering about staying onsite.

We will have 3 adults, a 12 yr, 14 yr, 16 yr and 2 yr old.

How much is the cheapest room for us. Does anyone know ?

You need two rooms. The least expensive option would be Royal Pacific Resort in a standard room. Depending on your dates this room can be had for $124.00 a night plus tax and up.

check the UO website on the hotels to compare for the dates you want to stay on site.

damo stayed at a villa at pbh. don't remember the number of people that can stay there. if she comes around, she might give insight to that hotel if it can accomodate your family.

if not, rph for 2 rooms would work.
you can get a discount with the AAA or AP for any of the on site hotels.

in my area/ chgo, one year membership is $54.
mine has paid for itself over and over.

i use it to shop online for target and stores besides hotels stays through my travels.

We're going just before Christmas. Dec 12-19th

I plugged in the dates and got 1463.00 per room at RPH. For 2 rooms that is ouch lol.

I tried for only 4 days and it was 836.00 per room at RPH, 956 at HRH or 1156 at PBH.

That includes 2 adult tickets with each room for 7 days.

So 4 nights would = 1672.00 at RPH. including 4 passes. Leaving me to buy 3 passes x 85 = 255.00 for a total of 1927.00

For onsite. That is without any discount. Besides the special they had listed for the tickets.

So I started to check their recommended hotels.

We can get a room that will hold all of us for only 125.00 @ the Embassy Suites on Jamacian Court.

So 4 nights would = 500.00 Plus 595 for 7 passes. That would only be 1095.00.

Or we could stay 7 nights for 875 + 595 for passes = 1470.00.

That is quite the price difference. And we get more days staying off site. Damn I was hoping it wouldn't be that much so we could stay onsite and have those FOTL passes. I wish I knew how much the discounts would be for AAA or AP and if we would be able to use them.

Holy cow! What time of year do you get that rate? We're going Sept 12-16 and it's still $167/nt. w/ AAA disc.
We're trying to do a relatively inexpensive long weekend in Sept. in addition to our Nov. trip.
Did you find this recently?:confused3

sometimes the packages that include room and tickets are really higher than if you bought them separate.

the $85 special for tickets might help.

go to the hotel website and try the rates for each hotel with the codes.
first code you try could be AAA
then do it again with PAP

put the dates in for your trip and try each hotel with the codes.
rph and pbh might be cheaper than hrh, but try them all.

I tried them all and it said there were no rates available with either code. Maybe it's too far away for there to be availability.

I belong to AAA. I went to their website, entered 12/12-29, and strangely, HRH was cheapest:
HRH: $191.20/nt/room
RPR: $199.20
PB: $215.20

AAA membership also get 10% disc. in US/IOA shops and restaurants too I believe. definitely shops

You could always split your stay. Even 1-2 nts. onsite would really help with the fotl thing. If you check-in early in the am, you can use your room key that day and if you check out the next day, you can still use the key in the parks. That's 2 days of fotl privileges with only 1 nts. $$. We did this last Sept. and with fotl you can do everything in both parks in 2 days. It's nice to have some extra days to relax but a little is better than none!

I suspect your dates are still too far out for this lowest pricing but do check daily! My guess is you will absolutely see your dates drop as it gets closer. No holidays and its a slow time. Here is a thread of some that have been able to grab that rate. HRH had some incredibly low rates too. Do a search for the threads or just browse the last 3 pages on this board. I hope your rate drops even more! :cool1:

Don't give on on your hope to stay on-site. Keep checking the dates. In the meantime book one of the less expensive deals so you have something so long as you can cancel with no penalty. Your dates or the beginning dates of your trip should be rock bottom and specials are sure to come just have to wait a bit.

Thank you so much, this gives me hope! I was thinking my rates were high for that time of year but just figured with all the renovations they're doing, maybe prices will never be low. I thought the "new" online ressie system won't allow you to enter AAA or APH codes. I gave up on it a while back and started going to AAA.com instead.
Seems the best deals people mentioned on that thread are for FL res. and APH. We're planning to get the Power Passes (1st time for APs) but I wonder if it's worth it to get 1 PAP for the discounts? only $60 more. What's the best timeframe to get the great deals? 2 months before? Do you really check every day? Not that I'm against that...Lol! :surfweb:
Thanks for your help! :goodvibes
