How much is beer at the Fort?

he is officially, my kinda guy

Gators and Tigers co-existing in peace and beer. That's one for the ages!

Jennifer

BTW: If it were bowl game season and LSU was in one I wouldn't get to go to Disney World at all, unless LSU was in the Citrus. Scott is just a tad obsessed with those Tigers.

The Fort must be the second home to LSU. I have NEVER seen so many of one teams fans as LSU. Every time we go during the winter holidays there are tons of LSU fans. Tigers everywhere.

I really don't understand it, my wife and I talk about it every time we're there. Is there a reason there are so many LSU fans in the Fort? I'm not exaggerating, there are at least 50 or so campers decked out in LSU colors every time we're there during the football season. It's absolutely crazy!

I can think of three reasons:

1)LSU fans often own RVs purchased specifically for tailgating. Might as well take them to Ft. Wilderness.

2)LSU fans like to cook. No dining plan needed when you can bring your own mobile cajun kitchen with you. I guarantee dinner will be yummy. Most of them will be more than happy to share with you unless you happen to be a Gator fan. (sorry Gatordad) LSU fans are very social.

3)LSU fans are nuts. At our house we have:
LSU doormats
LSU flags
LSU cling film thingies for the windows
LSU hats
LSU windsock thingies for the car
LSU tiger tails for the gas tank
LSU throws
LSU umbrellas
LSU beer mugs
LSU cocktail glasses (LSU fans like to have a drink or two or three.)
LSU dip/crudite thingy
Ceramic LSU football shaped serving bowl
LSU tiger ears headbands
LSU flip flops
LSU footballs for tossing around while tailgating
LSU folding chairs
LSU table cloth
LSU go cups
LSU coozies
A stuffed tiger that plays the LSU fight song
LSU license plates
LSU feather boa
A Mike the Tiger costume (don't ask!)
At least 3 dozen various LSU jerseys, T shirts, polos, you name it. Scott has four 2003 National Championship shirts alone.

I could go on forever. The point is that you have all this stuff. Why not plaster it all over your RV? At least that's the way Scott sees it.

see, that's just not right. I'd share with an LSU fan. Even a 'Noles fan.... now a red sox fan, fuggedaboutit

lol, I understand all that, the only thing is there lots of college teams that have fans that are just as fanatical as anyone else. What I don't understand, is why there are always so many at the Fort. I mean, tailgating is huge in college stadiums all over the country, especially for all the places in the south.

I understand your fanaticism, heck, that's what makes college football great. But all of those things apply to all the other college fanatics out there as well, I just wish I could figure out why I see so many more LSU fans. Of course, normally when we go there is some huge LSU game going on, that might be why. Perhaps because it is not an overly long trip? I mean compared to other major colleges.

Just don't know :/

We're about 12 hours away, so a lot closer than, say Texas or Ohio, but further out than Bama or Georgia or those evil Gators. ;) When I say LSU fans are nuts I don't mean they are necessarily more passionate about their team, just more in your face with it, some other schools might say obnoxious. We've got a bit of a rep.

As far as the LSU fanaticism goes it's strictly a DH thing at our house. I like the tailgating but you can keep the rest of it. I hate the emotional roller coaster that goes on around here from August to January. I suspect that Scott's still not over last year's loss to Florida. That said, I'm sure Dino will be proudly festooned with the purple and gold while we're visiting WDW. How much so depends on the way the season goes.

BTW Gatordad: I'd gladly share my pot of gumbo with you. Just have to lock hubby in the bathroom. Congrats on a great 2006!

J

Thank you. If you let him out of the bathroom, I'll share my beer with him. I'm not as fanatical a Gator fan as others. If I had to go nuts, it'd be for my Yankees.

Man, Yankees and Gators. And I'm a Canes and Red Sox fan.

Talk about polar opposites...lol ;)

And I'm dashingly handsome, with moviestar looks............ d'oh:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
