How much has your holiday increased since booking?

Well let's see...

Cost of Virgin PE flights (including CC surcharge): Was £2067; Now £2400.
Cost of 6 nights at Saratoga Springs studio: Was £702; Now £1098.
Cost of Dining Plan for 6 nights: Was FREE; Now £396 (that's probably not a fair comparision as we probably would not have paid for it if it wasn't free)
Cost of 14 day Ultimate Disney tickets: Was £480, Now £440 (yes, something has gone DOWN in price!)

10 nights at Hilton Grand Vacations @ Seaworld and the overnight Hotel, Parking and Lounge Access at Gatwick have all remained the same price.

Can't compare the costs of car hire, or tickets to Seaworld or Universal as I haven't bought those yet.

But based on the overall package, our holiday would be 20.7% dearer if we had booked it now, rather than 8 / 5 months ago (Disney bits / flights and other hotels).

Price of flights 1528.50 each, total 3057.

Now 2761.30 each, total 5522.60

saving 2465.60 pounds on flights alone, or a ridiculous increase of 1232.80 each per flight.

That said, how great to see how much people can save by seizing the moment...

For us the flights were so cheap (1100 for 4, flying direct with BA LHR-MIA as we used airmiles.co.uk) so there alone we probably "saved" 2k but truth be told would not have paid 3k for econ tickets...there was a deal for indirect into FLL/JAX earlier or more likely I'd have gone for M+M into Mia.

Hi Ruth, I think prices are higher from Miami.
From MCO our 1st 2 weeks I have booked a 7 seater minivan with AutoEurope/Dollar with gold cover £353 if Topcashback pays out. Don't think thats too bad for upto 4 drivers & tank of gas(prices do fluctuate though, today it would cost £374
I saw your post elsewhere regarding booking with Virgin, their prices are £434.00 with free driver but gas ontop or £532 for same cover(platinum)
Just checked Miami, very similar price(£2 more) last time I checked prices were a lot higher down there.

Well we paid £3353(if i can recall) for 5 nights OKW,One bedroom free DDP and 14 day ultimate now £4088 with flights VA to MCO

4 night Cruise was £1355 for cat 9 GTY cruise not showing now so presume full but the 27th novemeber which was the same price when we booked is 2104 but for a 4c no other rooms showing.
Difference on average is £5938 new cost
so an increase of £1230.
DVC will be the same and havnt got other tickets yet!!
CO still offering free DDP and 42% off for this year which I thought had finished

Not for our dates, they want £168/nt when it was £107/nt and DDP for 16nights £1,296, was free.

Yes just checked 3 adults and a child but with an adult ticket to get the free adult plan for the 5 nights ddp free and OKW one bed is £1830.Free ddp finishes on the 18th november so to get 2 weeks you would need to move it back to the 4th.Flights with VA are £538 for my dates now not sure about the 4th. Hope this helps

Just checked 8th-13th Nov, its quoting £935 for a studio, thats £187/night then DDP ontop. Can't see the offer at all.

It says to get the free DDP you need to add the tickets. If you proceed it does work(well I think it does wayne correct me if Im wrong).5 nights one bedroom DDP and tickets 1830

No you have it wrong, if you search for next year, Aug for example you will see the difference, it will say "YES - please include the Disney Dining Plan ADULT 10yrs+ £0 CHILD 3yrs-9yrs £0 Total Price FREE"
It shows that before adding tickets, plus you cost for the room is way too high, no discounts off.

Wayne just checked again and your right it is now saying 2600 odd.It was def there when I checked for mermaid2sea. perhaps it was a glitch.No free DDP now. That puts my holiday price up then to what I paid by another £800 Crazy isnt it.It didnt say about include the DPP it just said if you buy a disney ticket you will qualify for free DDP. Anyway you are right.
