How much French is needed at DP?

All the CMs seem to speak more than 1 language. They have little flags on their badges to indicate which languages they speak.

It is vey rare to find a CM who doesnt speak some English. You can def get by without speaking French

erm, well if it helps everytime I go to disney, I get on fine and I can't speak a word of french, just english.

This is just a guess but I think a lot of them do speak english as well as the european languages (french, german, spanish, etc) and some others can sign.

So basically, you don't need to really know any french, and if you come across a french CM on a ride asking you how many people there are, just use fingers as its much quicker and easier

Hope this helps:thumbsup2

Hi Sillyminny40 and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, posting guidelines can be found here and details regarding help on signatures here

As others have said you will be fine. A little merci and sil vous plait though will go a long way :goodvibes

It is nice to know a little basic French, though you won't need much to get by (or really, any). But "Bon Jour", "Sil Vous Plat", "Merci" and "Au Revoir" (hopefully I spelled them right!) will help a lot. The French language is a very polite one. :)
