how much for national emerald aisle?

DH would really like the option to pick his own car. Is national the only one that does this? And how much does this cost? Priced out a mid-size for national and it was $540! EEEEK, not even sure if that included taxes or not.

Where can I get the best price for this service?

You have to join their Emerald Club and then you can pick any car you want from the Emerald Aisle when you rent a mid-size car.

That $540 price is nuts. I have a price from Orlando for a week in March that is about $155.

Check around for coupons and codes to decrease your cost. Emerald Aisle is a great way to go, IMHO.

National and Alamo both let you pick out your own car at TPA. They have sections for each vehicle class - eg. book a compact, select from the compact section.

You do not have to be and Emerald Aisle club member to do this. The benefit of the Emerald Club is you get to go directly to your vehicle plus, if you book a midsize you get to select from the Emerald Aisle. The Emerald Aisle sometimes has other sized vehicles - eg. SUV's, Minivans, convertibles etc. Membership used to be $50 but it is now free.

Plus with either one of these rental companies you can use a kiosk to check in - takes about 2 mins and you avoid the counter with no membership required.

Maybe my date is too far away - September?? Should I wait till it gets closer.
