My DD 14 and I will be staying at AoA for 7 nights in July. Everything is paid for I have the quick service meal plan along with park hoppers. How much spending $ should plan on taking? I only have one character meal planned and that is Chef Mickey's. Thanks for your advice!!!

A lot depends on how much you spend on souvenirs. If you plan to buy a lot, you will need more money than if you budget a certain dollar amount and that's it.

With having the dining plan I would say that you could easily get by with $15/pp per day for breakfast and any extra snacks and drinks.

As far as sounenirs go, I've gone on a week long trip and spent less than $20 for the week - - all I bought were a few pins and some postcards.

I've also gone for a week and spent quite a bit - - Dooney & Bourke handbag, chamilia charms, and an expensive watch.

It is a hard question to answer because I am not you! :goodvibes

We do $100 per person per day but we don't do the dining plan but we do eat breakfast in the room. Others do $20 per person, some do twice what we do.

I think probably $200 plus whatever you plan to spend on souvenirs and the meal at Chef Mickey's would be enough. I'd guess $400-500 total, depending on how many souvenirs and of what type you plan to buy.

I would take some money but not too much because they have Chase ATM machines all over the place at WDW at the parks, hotels, DTD.

Like others have said - it depends on you ;). For us the QSDP was plenty as far as meals was concerned but I always ended up buying a soda and DD had an extra snack about every other day (especially if we used our snack for breakfast).

I like to pad my budget a little so I would say about $20 pp/pd. That would cover any snacks and souvenirs. Have you been to WDW before? that would give you an idea of what type of souvenirs you would like - shirt ($20-30), photo frame ($15-20), keychain ($5-10), ornament ($10-20) etc - and how much you are likely to spend.

Please help clarify what your definition is of "extra money" so I might be able to answer your question a bit better. TIA

Agree with everyone else, it depends on what kind of souvenier shopping you are! We have gone once or more per year for the last 10 or so years and our kids are older, so we don't buy souveniers anymore. If we see some random thing we like, we get it but we usually don't.

You will need extra money for tipping, both mousekeeping and dining at Chef Mickey's. When we've gone with the dining plan, we have many snack credits leftover at the end of our trip so no extra money needed for snacks/drinks. Not for budget reasons, we just all have small appetites in our family.

If you tell us more about your spending/eating habits, we can all surely help you a bit morre.
