How much extra is the car with a flydrive ?

Best direct price I can see next August (after many hours of looking !) for when we want to go is a Thomas Cook flydrive, I know you have to pay for extra insurance but cant see how much this is does anyone know roughly?

Best I can find is this on Direct holidays which is part of Thomas Cook so I would expect similar costs. http://www.directholidays.co.uk/destinations/usa/florida/fly-drive/

All the pages I have just read say don't take their car its expensive, rent seperate, adding all that up I can see it won't be cheap.

Thanks Wayne, it was £3000 for 4 of us which is £300 cheaper than BA but then we would have to get from Sanford by transfer or have a car. If we have to pay loads for the car which it looks like we would its not worth it. Back to the drawing board again !

I think you mis-understood. Can't you buy the flydrive but then not collect the car? We (and many others)do it with Virgin as their car hire prices are usually too high so we take the Flydrive but then not collect the car. If we tell Virgin what we are doing they would charge £30pp fee but don't tell them and they don't charge. I would guess its same with TC but I have never used them to be sure.

I see what you mean but if we didnt take the car (didnt have one this year and just used the disney transport/taxis ) then we would have to get transfers from Sanford so the £300 saving wouldnt be worth it. this year we just used the magical express as we went with BA to MCO.

If the car was only cheap we would have had it, used it for getting to the hotel and the dd trip to Universal etc.

I see, you are not that bothered about the car, Still wouldn't cost you £300 to rent a small car for 2 weeks from Sanford or is it longer than 2 weeks? Dollar.co.uk (1st price I got, could be cheaper) £227.85. inclusive. but you also have to take into account luggage allowance 15kg v 23kg unless you have priced for 20kg.
