How Much Does Your 9/10 Year Old Weigh?

DS is 60lbs and 52 or 54" tall (bad mommy, I forget!). We have a doctor's appointment next week to discuss this since he doesn't seem to be gaining much weight. I'm sure it's due to his ADHD meds that suppress his appetite. He just looks so incredibly thin. His little bones stick out Just curious what others around his age weigh.

My daughter was 9 in April, is VERY short (47), and weighs 63 lbs. Looks just right on her.

He also just had his phyiscal, he was 58" and 104 lbs. He is very tall and believe it or not he is NOT overweight according to the doctor.
he is just a solid and tall kid.

DD is less than a month from her 10th b'day. She is about 53" and weighs 60 lbs. She is thin, but not painfully skinny- just seems all legs and arms right now. She has been in the 25th percentile most of her life- she's just a little peanut.

Just went to the Dr. today...

DS is 10.
He weighs just over 90 pounds
He is around 4'9" - 4'10"

He has always been thin, but solid and heavy!!! Actually weighs more than one would think by looking at him.

He has put on a few pounds, and seems to be a good healthy weight.

DD10 is just shy of 5ft and weighs 77lbs.

DD8 is pushing 4ft and weighs 59lbs.

DD10 is one of the taller girls in her fifthe grade class and DD8 is one of the shortest girls in the third grade.

Holy cow! My DS-5 (6 in Sept) is 49 inches and 50 lbs!!

Okay, my DS turned 9 in July - he is 58 inches and 72 lbs.
My other DS will be 11 in Nove - his is 60 inches and 95 lbs.

Completely different body shapes.

DD is turning 9 this weekend and she is 54" and 61 lbs. DS is turning 11 next month and he is 59" and 75 lbs. Right now they are both all arms and legs!

My DD 8 is 55" and 57 pounds. She is all arms and legs too. She is not painfully skinny. She even has true muscle definition. The thing I don't understand is that she eats constantly.

I know there are all different types of body sizes and shapes but I would question a doctor that doesn't warn you that your child may be pushing the limits. I am NOT saying he is overweight but you may want to check out an online calculator for BMI for children.
