Got a visit from the Tooth Fairy last night... :) I received a VERY nice exchange rate for my two pulled wisdom teeth. However, I happen to know that the Tooth Fairy spent the weekend at the Gulf Coast casinos and I got half the winnings. :p

Common rate when I was growing up was 25 cents a tooth.

What about yours?

LOL!!! :)

The TF leaves usually a 50 cent peice here or 2 quarters.

She doesnt leave anything if there is a cavity in the tooth! She figures someone has allready paid for that tooth ;)

The tooth fairy leaves $5.00 at our house. Good thing the tooth loss rate here is slow. :) :)

DS lost his first tooth on Christmas. That one was worth 5.00. I think his next ones will be either 1.00 or 2.00.

1st tooth out-$1 times age (my dd was 6, so she got $6, my ds hasn't lost a tooth yet, he's 6 no, I think he's holding out until he's 7 so he can tell his sister his 1st tooth was worth more;)).

Sometimes the TF leaves a dollar per tooth. Most times 50 cents.

I didn't get anything under my pillow when my wisdom teeth got pulled.:( How are you feeling now that yours are gone, Katerkat?:)

Better and better! I was miserable last night, but I'm already done to *just* three Advil. :) I'll be happier when I can eat again!!

We are finished with all of that now! :teeth: Actually, I say that and the orthodontist said yesterday that we need to consider pulling DS's wisdom teeth this summer.

It was my experience that the tooth fairy left different amounts depending on how difficult the removal was (and bravery was rewarded)! Usually there was from $1 to $5 left at our house.

We got around the issue of how much the fairy left at other houses by saying that she only had so much on any given night and it all depended on how many teeth were lost that day. Saved us from having to have the correct amount if a tooth came out late in the evening. Once we only had $10's. I had to go get change!

usually around $5 per tooth for my kids :D , but when I was growing up it was change usually.:D
