This whole thread is going to cause me to start stashing ones in my wallet, just in case.
DS lost his first tooth at 6 months old in a nasty face-meets-table accident. Then he had two teeth pulled at 2, due to problems caused either by genetics or an after-effect of that faceplant (his dad's dad's family have horrible baby teeth, but then again, he could have hit his upper gums on the table but no one noticed b/c they were so busy dealing with the blood coming from his lower gums, we'll really never know).
The tooth fairy never visited b/c of course he was too young in our opinion! So when he loses his first, he's going to get 4 teeth worth. But he has TWO loose right now, and of course since he has 3 spots without teeth to lose he might be getting new teeth at any time (which also seems an exciting time to celebrate) without the warning of a loose tooth ahead of time, so things might get very busy all at once.
We don't do the Santa thing or easter bunny etc etc, around here, and we've never influenced him either way about the "truth" of the characters at Disney he meets, but for whatever reason, the tooth fairy is just plain old fun. Oh, and he has decided on his own that I'm his TF, just like I'm his Santa (not sure why hubby isn't also Santa, but then again I'm the one wrapping things so my writing is on the tags LOL).
