I dont know how often it is offered, but it doesn't cost extra. Sign-ups are limited to a certain amount of people so go straight to Guest Services or Port Adventures desk (someone else please confirm which desk ) to sign up when you board.

I do not know how many days it is offered, but we had a choice of multiple times on the day we did it.

Some people have said that they brought extra candy to decorate their gingerbread house but my family and I felt that there was more then enough candy to decorate our house.

When we cruised on our Merrytime cruises it was free. Sign up was at Guest Services. I remember that I headed to the special off-the-side area on a different deck for Frozen meet and greet tickets and sent either my husband or older daughter to get the gingerbread tickets at Guest Services. We really enjoyed it and my youngest ate that house for what seemed like DAYS! Try to do it early on so that the gingerbread house can sit in your room as long as possible because you can't take it off of the ship with you!
