If there is already a thread on this, please refer me to it and close this one. What's the average price per night that you resort stayers pay? I live within 10 minutes of the park right now but am moving back up north and would love to stay at the resort someday. Out of curiosity, I looked up prices and it was about 1200 for two nights in June running up to about 1800 for two nights in September. Is this really the norm? Even a suite in Las Vegas doesn't cost this much. I'm shocked.

Which hotel were you looking at? That sounds expensive, even for the Disney hotels. I know prices will be high due to Cars Land opening, but that's more than we paid for a three room suite at PPH at Christmas time.

From what I've gathered, it really depends on the time of year and whether any deals are available. We're booked @ DLH for our upcoming trip in two weeks for ~$400/night. We had booked PPH for $300/night, but decided to switch to 'plus it' a bit since it will likely be our only trip to DLR for a long, long time. It also depends a lot on the room view and size of the room. The prices you referenced indicate park view and/or a suite, which can add to the cost quite a bit.

I'm not sure what level of room you were looking at but:

For our standard view room staying from June 28 to July 2 we are paying $320.00 at night

For our standard view room staying Oct 8 to Oct 14 we are paying $300.00 a night.

The prices that you are quoting almost sound like concieage level.

For my son's honeymoon, I booked the Fairy Tale Suite for 2 nights in July, which includes concierge, for $800/night. Your prices seem very high.

I generally pay about $200-250 per night and I usually reserve a view room. I have an AP and Oct, Nov, early Dec and Jan. are my usual visiting times. From what I have observed, DLH rates are going to be higher than in the past so I'm not sure what I will be paying this year. The current ap rate for Sept is $293 for a standard room at DLH on the weekend.

I think you must be doing something wrong.

Did you plug your dates of travel into the disneyland website:

http://disneyland.disney.go.com/disneyland-hotel/

Then, you have to make sure you click on "room only rates" rather than room and parkhopper tickets.

When I checked for two nights in June at the Disneyland Hotel (I didn't use my AP to check it) the price came out to about 360.00 per night. In August it was about 300.00 per night for later August. These prices are typical for high season/summer with no discounts attached. The Grand Californian can run around 400-435.00 per night with no discounts for the same time frame. Paradise Pier is often found for under 300.00.

Like Dizme, if you choose to book at lower season prices--you can get a much better deal. I have gotten the Disneyland Hotel for under 200.00 per night when booking in Feb. or March. In October of last year (2011) we stayed at Paradise Pier for 170ish per night and got upgraded to a concierge suite.

Click on the link I gave you above and play with your dates. Make certain you are getting "hotel room only" rates. If you still have problems, then call the phone number they list and talk to someone. I still often price it out online and then make a phone call to book because I like talking to them and giving them requests for certain rooms.

Thank you! When I originally searched, it included 2 parkhoppers, I tried to edit it and take out the parkhoppers but it wouldn't let me. I figured a 2 day parkhopper is only about 200 so i just subtracted it from the price but now that i'm searching for hotel only, it's giving me normal prices.

My pass is expiring in September and most likely DBF and I won't be renewing due to the price increases. Is it cheaper to just do hotel only and get the tickets yourself? Like what's special about the vacation packages?
