Does anyone know the price for a 7 Day Park Hopper???

I went to the disneyland.disney.go.com site and I only found prices for up to 5 days.....

Disney no longer sells hoppers above 5-days. All you will find are 5-day hoppers or annual passes.

Oh no, that sucks! So, I would have to purchase a 5 Day + a 2 Day for myself?

It would be cheaper to buy an annual pass by $2:) assuming there aren't blackout days that's the best way to go because you will also get discounts for dining and shopping.

If there are blackout dates at the beginning of the trip you can always upgrade your ticket after the fact. For instance we will be at disneyland nov 27th - dec 6th. We have blackout dates in the first few days so we need to buy a 3 day hopper and then upgrade to an annual pass on our last day at the ticket booth. They take the amount you paid for the hopper and apply that amount to the annual pass. Hope that helps!

Guests from Australia & New Zealand tend to spend more time at the parks. Here, stateside, many people were buying 7/8 day park hoppers and selling portions of them, getting them back, and selling portions again, so they were making a profit off of Disney. It became rather rampant, and so Disney restricted the hoppers to 5-days and less.

That makes sense, it's a big cost for us to even get there so we want to make the most of it.

What about for Canadians?? I'm coming from Vancouver. Would love to get a 7 day pass. Our trip is already several thousands of dollars too !:sad1:

Look into Flight Centre? I know they used to offer some longer tickets - not sure if they still do but worth a try since you're up there.

Edit: Nevermind just went to their website and they only offer up to 5 days.

An annual pass may be the way to go - thank you! ...but would it expire at the end of 2014 now or does it expire the year after the day of purchase??

It expires one year after first use (including that day).

Is the 10 day pass not avail over there?

No, only in Australian & New Zealand (though as the PP says, potentially in other foreign travel markets as well). For domestic visitors, DLR now only offers 1- through 5-day tickets. I think the idea is to try and push local visitors into purchasing the lower-tier Annual Passports that have blockout dates.

(Of course, that strategy backfired--along with the decision to stop selling Southern California APs. Instead, so many people who want to do longer visits have now purchased the unlimited Premium APs that the parks are always swamped with passholders.)

Australia and New Zealand are much farther so their trips to the US are typically more expensive, less frequent and longer. In fact Vancouver is closer to Disneyland than Dallas, TX is. Disney wants you to buy APs and come more often. ;)

This 5 day ticket bugs me so bad.

We are from Pa and are going Saturday-Saturday and staying at the Grand Cal I would like to go to the parks 6 days but no can't do that so we are going to Universal on Wednesday.
I would even like to go over Saturday night when we arrive but can't do that either.

I know they are worried someone might sell their ticket but come on I am staying on property!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot believe if you stay on property they can't sell you a 6 or 7 day ticket.

What's the point of going to Universal if you really want a sixth day at DLR? One day admission to Universal and one day-one park admission to Disneyland are the same price almost exactly. So if you're going to spend that money anyway, why not just spend it for that sixth day that you say you want?

We have gone in the past and gotten the 7 day tickets for a few dollars more so now they want me to pay $100 more a day, no way.

We really like Universal in Florida so will try Hollywood's version.

The whole point of the magic your way tickets in Florida is to keep you on property by adding days for a few dollars more, its obvious they think no one wants to go to Disneyland for more then 5 days during a visit.

There are a few ways I want to unpack this, and I want to do it gently meaning no offense. Firstly, all ticket media is more expensive now than in the past. It isn't as if 5-day tickets are still the same price they were back when you still could buy 7-day tickets. You're already paying significantly more, no matter what.

Also, you're not spiting Disney by shifting that extra $100 to Universal. You're just giving up something you say you want as a stand on principle. I hope you bear in mind that Universal in CA and FL are as different from each other as Disney in CA and FL. Just because you like Universal Orlando doesn't mean you'll like Universal Hollywood. That's not to say you shouldn't go there. But it really just sounds like you're trying to make a point by giving up what you say you want, and doing so isn't going to make any difference to Disney. If you get back home and regret not having used that $100 for the extra day you wanted, you'll have no one else to blame.

Finally, because most DLR visitors are locals, ticket-pricing strategy is different between the two resorts. DLR has no interest in keeping people on property for multiple days. They want locals to keep coming back multiple times. DLR capped tickets at five days to sell APs to locals to keep them spending money in the parks as often as possible. Long-distance visitors like us are not the target market. If we want those days bad enough, Disney knows we'll just purchase APs, too. (That's exactly what we do, and we live in Chicago.)

If they're doing it to keep locals in the parks more often, they should make exceptions for guests who are staying at an onsite Disney hotel (not locals) so that the number of days you can buy at least matches the number of nights you're paying for at their hotel.

The way things are now, especially with the photo requirement to prove you're not selling your extra nights, the main thing they're accomplishing is to annoy us to the point that we strongly consider going somewhere else and/or shorten our stay. If not for the whole vacation, at least for that extra day or two.

Locals may be their primary market, but they're certainly not their only market.
