Sorry guys if this is not on the right board, but we are leaving in 2 days. We are having a driver pick us up and take us to our hotel on property, but we not get the same driver who picked us up when we go back to the airport. Our question is how much would you tip the driver and how much would you tip the people that bring in your luggage, the cleaning of your room while you are there and etc... Thanx for your help...

Congratulations!!!!!!!!

Do I tip both the valet and the bellman? If so, it sounds like I should at least tip the bellman more since he does the most work. What about the valet, especially if all they do is wheel the luggage into the lobby while we check in? We'll be arriving around 9pm, so there won't be any storing involved. I'd prefer just to carry the luggage in myself and then tip the bellman when he brings the luggage to the room, but I know the valet is usually right there ready to take the luggage. I want to do the right thing. Help!
after taking the bags to the room, filling the ice bucket, etc. As I like to say, if you don't want to / can't tip, don't use the services. You can tell them that you want to handle your own bags. I also know that many people are confused about tipping and you can tell if they don't know or if they just don't care. I also worked front desk and used to get tipped at check-in if someone wanted a particular room or area, as we were the ones that assigned the rooms upon check-in. Not sure if people do that at Disney. Also mostly here in Vegas, we only tip the valet that returns or brings the car back to you, not the one that takes it. They all rotate out so it ends up even, as we have worked valet before also. Well I hope this helps a little and I know that Vegas is a little different, but I believe those are pretty much industry standards. The maids here, beleive it or not, seem to get stiffed a lot. For some reason people just don't seem to tip them. Just know that your tip is appreciated by most, like my DH who has to support our family off of people deciding to tip or not as the hourly wages are low. Thank you to those that tip, or we would not be able to go to Disney! Sorry this got so long, I hope you all enjoy your vacations. I wish I was going sooner!
