How much do you tip?

In general I tip between 15 & 20 % depending on service. Service that is very good I do 20%, average service 18% & poor service 15%. However there have been one or two occasions that I have tipped less than 15% for very poor service. This is for a sit down meal. A restaurant where we are taken to our seats & served our food, not a buffet type restaurant.
How do you tip at buffets? Do you tip the same amount as a restaurant where you are waited on?

Across the board I give 20% for just regular service. If the service is poor but the waiter or waitress is nice and still tried, I still give 20%. If the server is exeptionally nice and made our visit extra special I always give more then 20%.

If the server is not very nice or pleasent I would love to give less than 20%, but my wife won't let me.
