How much do you all tip when...

Getting a haircut

Pizza delivery

Mailman around the holidays.

Etc.

I ask because I just got my hair done today. It cost $142. I had a lot done and my hair does look great. It should for that kind of money Anyway, if I tipped 20% that would be way toooooooo much $$$. Not that it wasn't already. What do you do!! I gave her a $14 tip. Do you think that was enough?

I'm glad I only do the "complete makeover twice a year" or else I wouldn't be able to afford my trips to WDW.

For great service, I tip 20%. If I can't afford the tip, then I don't get the service done.
For good service I tip 15%.
For horrible service, they get nothing.

Hair - 20% (I'd tip them no matter what. After the IRS, these are the LAST people I want to tick off.)

Pizza - $3 for a pizza, more for a bunch.

Mailman - $50 (cash) at Christmas (and he does every mail related thing I need all year.)

$10 for just a cut, $20 when I get highlights.

$5 to the shampoo tech.

$2-$3 for pizza.

$0 to mailman.

I think your tip was perfectly fine.

I hate the tipping thing. I always fret about it.
I probably would have given an even $160 bucks so $18 tip.

We went to chinese buffet last night. I looked at DH and was like what do we tip. Bill was $35 bucks for 4 of us (DH, me, and 2 kids). I left $3 bucks.

Restaurants - Horrible service - None Standard service - 17% Excellent service - 20% - 30%

Mailman around the holidays. - A gift card to marie calendars to get a pie
