Ours sorts of happens in tiers, once every 8 months of so we go to cash and carry for cleaning stuff, general toiletries, tissues, toilet rolls, kitchen rolls and nappies. This is not only cheaper but much more convenient.
Then once a month I do a Tesco on line which comes to approx 130.00 then every week I do bread, milk, fruit and veg etc which is usually 45.00 at M&S or Waitrose. My bill is bumped up by good quality juices, smoothies and organix snacks for the girls.
Nappies will finish soon so woo hoo.
DH is pretty good and doesn't really expect me to budget too much on food, we prefer quality meat and food and cut back on something else.
I have just found these great fridge bags which keep your fruit and veg fresher for longer by neutralising the gases that make them deteriorate. This means I can buy the variety of F&V that we love and nothing gets wasted. I got them from lakeland. worth the initial cost.
