Sheesh I went grocery shopping today and as usual I spent over $200 !! It's crazy how much everything costs and after 3 days the kids say there's no food in the house !!!

How much does everyone else spend on a big grocery trip !?

About $350 a week! There are 3 of us now...my oldest DD is away at University...

Now, that's in Canadian funds mind you...

About an arm, a leg, an intestine, and every now and again, Walmart gets one of my major organs. :rolleyes1

Seriously, about $100 every two weeks, with the majority of it being food. Maybe about $20 is stuff like cat litter, cat food, detergent, and things like that.

About $100 a week average.

TOO MUCH!!

Between $75 - $100 per week for my family of three. That is FOOD/BEVERAGE ONLY.

A lot nowadays since DH is always home. The man can eat and so can my son. The price of meat is killing me. :(

Around £80 a week...(Don`t know how much that is in $)

I had to throw away every single thing in our refrigerator and freezer because we were without power after Hurricane Frances, so my bill on my next trip will be a doozy, I'm sure.

I'm waiting to restock it all until after Ivan has cleared out of here.

I go every Sunday...Every other Sunday I spend about $160-$170, and I buy the bulk of my groceries, meat, etc. Then I only have to go the next week and buy milk, ham, bread, or things to round out a meal which will usually run about $25.00.

About once a month I go to Costco and buy sodas and detergents...

I too give away body parts and often organs as Tiggerlover91 stated. But that is with 7 of us and 3 of them growing boys, lol! I think probably about 200 give or take a week. Coupons and sales make it so much easier! I also get things that I know I can get cheaper at Walmart or Target!

I spend about $30 a week for just me. I usually eat out a few times a week, and I don't buy meat at home (except for canned tuna). I"m also lucky in that I get free lunches at work in the dining hall so that saves money too! :teeth:

About $200/wk for 3 of us. Me, DH & DS 17, I'm sure at least $125/wk is for DS. I love when DS looks in the fridge & pantry and asks when are you going food shopping? After I've just returned! I tell him since my wallet is now $200 lighter I must've just decided to give Wegmans a donation.

I spend about $150 a week for the 4 of us. The kids and I eat breakfast at home, we all eat lunch out (the kids at school DH and I at work) and then we eat dinner at home. I try to cook from sratch as much as I can, but the kids like to invite friends over so I will usually fix extra.

Well, it's just 2 of us. We budget $50 a week but rarely even come close to that. We are pretty light eaters though so we usually have leftovers to eat as well.

That's about what I spend on our family of 4, and food and beverages only also.

There is only DH and I to cook for. A garden producing more then we can eat. I work 3 night a week, DH goes to auctions 2 of those nights so we eat leftovers.

I never purchase snacks. I make most of our meals from scratch. Purchase most things in bulk from BJ every 2-3 months (paper products, soaps, etc) maybe $20-$30 weekly. We rarely eat out, maybe once a month.

We spend about $130 every 2 weeks and about $50 on the in between weeks to pick up a few things like milk, o.j., fresh veggies, etc. I do my "big" grocery shopping which is the $130 one week and the following week I usually only need to pick up a few things that I need for a certain meal or to grab some things we may already be out of or low on. This is for 3 of us btw. So that is approx. $360 a month.

I would guess around $200 / week.... for a family of four with two teen boys. We eat out a lot too, as we are always traveling.
