How Much Do You Spend On Groceries?

Family of 4 here with 2 kids, 7 & 9 . probably spend around $750-$800/month. I save money however by shopping at SuperTarget and Walmarts

Wow, I'm feeling better about what we spend We are about the same as your family of 4, around $800 or so. I thought I was doing really, really, bad! We used to spend around $600 or so. I coupon and do sales, but I have also just been really stocking up at Sams on bulk stuff. I think I've been freaking out a little with all the scary economy stuff and want to make sure we have food

Most of the time, it's just DH and I and we spend about $400 a month. When dd is home from school, it goes up about $30 a week.

I've been buying all my veggies and fruits from a local farm stand and a farmer's market. They're fabulous and much cheaper than the grocery store. Soon that will be over for the year, though.

We also go to Sam's Club about 4 times a year and stock up on things like laundry detergent, frozen food, canned goods, etc. We'll spend about $200 - $250 per trip.

I spend about an average of $100 a week for a family of 2.

Yeah we can get meat at the farmers market SOOOOOO much cheaper! I can walk out of there with meat for 2 weeks for under 125$ I'm going on Sunday (they are only open on the weekend) I'll post what I get and how much everything was. It's amazing how much cheaper everything is there. I cringe when I HAVE to buy meat at a grocery store. The quality is sucky and the prices are 2 times what I could get it for at the FM. I urge everyone to PLEASE look into farmers markets. I like supporting my local farmers! Gotta go baby is crying... he's a very needy child already

I'm also curious to know which farmers market you go too. It might be worth a drive.
