;) Ok here I go. Our first trip in 2005 cost us 3200$$ without counting souvenirs. We got a deal with visa money at par. We stayed at All Star movies and flew from Montreal and landed at Sanford.
This August we are flying out of Burlington saving 1400 in air fair . We are paying 1200$ for 2 adults and 2 kids although my oldest dd is going to be 13 and she is considered an adult.Plus 1070$ for DDp and 1900$ for Pop Century plus park Hoper and water parks . We have already paid for our flight and the down payement at WDW. We have already saved enough to pay for the difference.
In total we will be paying 4170$ $ for 7 nights and 8 days. That of course is not including souvenirs. The girls have already saved their birthday money to spend there and we buy about 200$ for souvenirs. We have been saving since we came back from our last trip.
Next trip we plan in staying longer but driving down instead and making other stops on the way.

The transportation costs are the most variable for us. This time we are using Airmiles so the taxes/fees for 4 were around $700. Other trips, airfare has always been around $2000 out of Halifax. Last time we drove and the cost was $1650 for gas, hotels (3 nights down and 3 nights back), meals, etc.

Once we are there, we have a Disney package (hotel for 11 nights & 10 day tickets including park hopper/water parks) for approx $2100. We have Seaworld tickets that we got through airmiles as well, so the cost was $0 compared to $250. Our meals are usually around $100/day and the souvenirs are around $600, although the kids are a bit older and they do lots of outlet shopping with their own money.

The total budget this time will come in a little under $5000 but in reality, we will probably go a bit over. Other trips have been around $7000. We don't have any other really bad habits so we consider this our escape!:rotfl:

i don't have the breakdown but for me and my dd7, with 6 nights staying at the pop with the dining plan and hopper and a 4 night cruise, and the flight, it is costing $3500. thats not counting what we spend there but at least all the food is paid

POFQ Oct 3 - 13, 2007
Park hopper tickets for ten days and dining plan.
$3316.70 US converted at 1.15 $3814.21 CDN (I bought my US when rate was down).
Transportation Costs: Not sure waiting for Southwest to open up, but I have allocated $1200.00 CDN for transportation costs. This includes 1 night in Buffalo and parking.
Spending Money: $1200.00 CDN
Grand total $6214.21 CDN approx.

I am also looking at tickets for MNSSHP, and Hoop Dee Do. These costs will come out of our spending money. My kids are also taking some spending money. For Easter instead of hunting for candy eggs, my Grandmother is using US$. My sons peanut allergy is actually working to our favor here.

I hope I haven't forgotten anything. I have not shared this with my husband. All he needs to know is that we have the money saved and when he needs to get time off of work. I am not going to bogg him down with the details. :thumbsup2

Camping at DW is the way to go. We usually stay about a month in the summer and it breaks down like this:

~30 days accommodations : $1250

Gas there and back + Misc. : $1200

Annual passes for 3 (2 Ad. 1 Ch) : $1200

Food ($25/day) : $750

Total: $4400 U.S. or a little over $5000 Cdn

Extra spending we use money we've built up on our Paypal credit card from Ebay sales, but we've been so many times now that we don't buy many souveniers.

On our first trip in 2001 for me & DH is cost us $3931US for everything including outlet shopping but that worked out to be $6290CN. The exchange rate was horrible! We did 2 weeks offsite went to Disney, Sea World, Universal & St.Pete's. Our 10 day trip in 2004 cost us $1500CN for everything...and this time we had our dd...we used airmiles...left over passes...points to get free seaworld tickets...stayed across the street for Universal for 6 nights for $336CN and at the Boardwalk Villas for for nights renting points $400CN(rent 2 bedroom split the cost 3 ways). Our 7 day trip 2005 trip cost us $3500CN for 2 adults/2 children...we flew with Air Transat from Newfoundland...used ME for transportation...stayed at POP on free dining plan passes and food included...used points to go to Sea World...and rented car for $50CN for the day.
