How much do you spend a year on Disney vacations?

While we all love Disney, we know it isn't exactly cheap. Some of us prefer to do one large trip a year while others like more frequent smaller trips.

Regardless of your style, how much do you spend a year (aggregated) on Disney vacations? This would include travel, hotel, tickets, food, shopping, etc. I'm curious what the average would be across the boards!

We visit twice a year (spring and fall) and my average annual budget for the trips is $11,000. In years past it's been a lot higher (~$18,000) but we now stay off-site for the majority of the trips.

I can't think of it off the top of my head but I so wish we lived close enough to drive in a day. I despise the airfare portion of the costs (and parking at the airport and the rental car)

I hear ya. We're able to drive, but it is a good solid day for the most part in each direction.

If we lived closer, I would personally enjoy more frequent, smaller/shorter trips. But with having to spend 2 days of travel, it's hard to justify frequent, small trips.

We're local, even still I'm afraid to add it all up.. lol

3 Florida Resident annual passes

Probably go to Disney every couple weeks. Usually spend a minimum of $20 each time on food/drinks/stuff(we pack our own snacks usually). Additionally have a couple weekends we spend around Disney and do the real dining. Probably a couple $500 weekends a year.
I'd guesstimate around $3000-$3500 a year.

Considering our family income, probably a bit excessive.

Our two trips this year (April 2014 and upcoming July 2014) total approximately $14,500. In hindsight, we should have purchased annual passes, as we are considering a third short trip at the end of this year. If we take that trip, our total for the year will be around $19,000. Oh goodness, that sounds ridiculous. :crazy2:

Well trips seem to be running about 6k for week family of 3-4.

That included every thing.

Probably in the neighborhood of $4000-$5000 a year at this point, but hoping to make it to the $10,000/year level when DD grows up and is self-supporting and I get to keep/spend my own money! :lmao:

Interesting thread!

Since we only go every 4 years, I'd say $1000 per year. That includes things I buy for the trip that are "Disney".

About $6000 a year. We typically go every 18 months and I've had anywhere from 7 to 9 people in our party. We do dining out-of-pocket and do one tableservice meal per day.

We've been going about every 3 years, current year will run just under $4,000 for my family of 5, but I forgot entirely about all the little travel accessories and Disney gear that, while reusable, I really wouldn't buy otherwise. And I should add about $400 for souvenirs (some already covered by gift cards received at bdays) We also fly free due to hubby's extensive business travel and frequent flyer points. So I guess you'd say something like $1500/year.

I go twice a year. We stay at a value if it's just my DD and I but if my DM comes along we stay at a mod. I usually spend around $5000.00 for my DD and I's portion with both trips combined

This year I am planning a trip out to Disneyland and budgeting about $6,000 for 2 people. Hope fully that covers everything from air fair and airport parking to souvenirs. I could probably cut down and save money here and there but it will be the only time I get out there so we are splurging on things we could save money on.

Yikes...wondering if I'm missing something. Budgeting 8500 for fam of 6 (3 adults, 3 kids). That includes flights, hotel for 2 nights at beach first, rental car, 2 rooms at a value for 8 nights and 7 day tickets with free dining. Also 1 day at the dark side. It PAINS me that 1 day at the dark side is so much compared to what adding a day at WDW would be but my sis wants her kids to see the transformer, minion, and ET ride. I might try and talk her out of it tho.

We go 2-3 times per year and there is just the 2 of us. We do own DVC though so I don't know if you would want to factor loan payments and Maintenance fees into that. So we often don't pay for hotel. We buy an AP which saves us huge on park tickets.

So I would say for food, shopping, transportation, tickets we prob spend roughly 10k/yr on trips to Disney.

two people spent $1200 staying three nights earlier this year on property. we had two full park days and only one ADR. we splurged a little more on souvineers that time than in the past.
