How much do you pay for internet, tv, and phone?

Dish Network Basic Package w/local channels- $34.99
Verizon DSL and phone service- ~$42.00
So ~$77.00 per month
-RK

PS- We don'ty have movie channels, DVRs and only one receiver. We also use free over the air reception on two TVs in our house.

Premium Package, 2 DVR's and one receiver w/ DirecTV - $100 (including rebates)
Bellsouth phone w/ long distance, caller ID and DSL + other stuff we don't use - $90
cell phones - $95

total - $285

DSL & unlimited phone is around $65/month I think.
Cable (extended basic, no premium channels) is $55.
So, total is $115.
I looked into a bundle, but after the taxes, it came out to a higher price.

Those looking to reduce your bills, it never hurts to call and ask. I called Cox and was going to cancel a couple tiers, found out if I cancelled them both I would lose my bundle discount. So, I asked the gal if she saw any other way to lower my bill, and specials, etc. and she said, how about if I take $20 off your bill for the next 6 months? Works for me! Once it goes back up, I'll call back again! ;)

Cox Cable $54 (no extras, no DVRs)
At&T $34 (house phone)
Walmart Dial-up Internet  $10
Cell phone $110 :scared1: (for 3 phones)

$208 for all 4. I can't get it any cheaper by purchasing it all together, or at least I haven't found it anywhere any cheaper.

Not really fair for me to play this game, because we don't pay for internet, but here's our February bill:

Cox Cable TV Service (basic, no bells/whistles): $10.75
Cox Land-line Phone Service (basic, no bells/whistles): $16.68
Taxes: $3.90
---------------------------------
Total: $31.33

We have just a land-line and dial-up to the internet is free through my work's server.

Happy to be the cheapskate here, afterall it is the Budget Board.

I was scared to open this thread, because I pay so much for cable and I didn't want to see how everyone else pays $50 a month!

I use Optimum Online (Cablevision), Silver Family Package with no movie channels, but unlimited phone longdistance included, internet, and 5 boxes for $175 a month.

Polyherewecome, I'm with you but jealous that yours is lower than mine! :) Our basic cable from timewarner just went up again to almost $14 a month (we started out at about $11) and my house phone probably runs me around $40-45 monthly. We have our one family cell phone and house phone on one verizon bill and it's about $105 monthly total. I think the cell phone is about $60-65 of that. We have dial up internet and we will be going from $5 a month to $10 soon (we too were getting our interent connection for free from a work server for years but it ended). So our phone kills us but I'm not ready to give it up yet, esp since we only have 1 cell phone still! So I guess our monthly total for phone, internet, and cable would be about $65.

We have Bright House (only available choice  ) and bundle cable and internet on a 9mth special at the moment for $106.55/mth. I pay them $120/mth since I'd rather be at a credit status on our bills.

We pay $19.83/mth for Vonage and I'm switching over to the pre-paid unlimited plan next month which actually works out to the exact same price as the 500 mins. I'm tired of telling my DD to get off the phone cause I'm worried about going over mins (something I NEVER thought I would have to worry about! )

Charter Communications Bundle:

Expanded Basic Digital with Family Tier
HD channels
DVR (free for 12 months)
10meg internet
Phone (14.99 for 12 months) unlimited local and long distance

Approx. $148 a month

All approximate, nice thing is i locked in the monthly rates (for life:banana: ) expect for taxes, etc. for the following:

*DSL & land line phone service thru Verizon = $40 a month

*HDTV Direct TV (no HBO-why bother, Sopranos & Rome are done;) ), 4 receivers = $90 month

*Cingular family plan 3 phones = $80 month

We pay about $110/month after taxes for Time Warner $99 bundle (Digital cable, High Speed Internet, and phone with unlimited long distance, call-waiting, 3-way calling, caller ID, etc). It was like $105 after taxes, but we added 1 DVR to it.

It's that New Customer Special for the first 12 months, but when I called, I just asked if I could have it even though I was an existing customer. They gave it to me. After 11 months, I will call back and ask to have it another 12 months.

We currently have a special deal with TWC that is about 30% or more off for 12 months because we switched from satellite.

$90/mo. for cable, 4 DVRs, HBO, Showtime, and Cinemax
$30/mo. computer internet
$30/mo. Vonage phone

So, $150/mo. for everything. This is supposed to be a 24 month deal, but we will see if that is what happens.

I have a question about this bundle.

Is the internet the Lite version or the regular version?

Is the phone service unlimited throughout the US?

Can you add more receivers to that package and just pay a little more?

I am just curious.

Time Warner

Unlimited Phone Service (no extras)
Roadrunner/Internet (fastest home version)
Digital Cable + 1 standard DVR (no extra movie channels)

=$130 w/taxes

We have a bundle with SBC (now AT&T) for our land-line, DSL and Dish Network (up until last Sept we also had our cell service in the bundle but switched to US Cellular).

Our land-line is $21.00 ($30.37 after all of the taxes/fees are added) for unlimited local calling, caller ID, Call Waiting, Name Display

We use our cells for long distance calls since we have never even come close to using up our plan minutes.

The Dish Network is $60.97 for the Top 200 + local channels, 1 DVR (controls two separate televisions) and a receiver for our bedroom. We had the lower package but DH complained that he couldn't watch all of the Cubs games since some are not on WGN but on Comcast Sportsnet so we had to go up one package to get that channel (still less than Comcast would be with less outages).

Our DSL (high speed express) bill is locked in at $19.99 but I see that the current price is now $25.00

For a grand total of $116.34

$155 a month, cable with a bazillion useless channels, unlimited local and long distance, second phone line (for business) and internet. That usually includes atleast one pay per view a month. I think its TOO HIGH!!!
It was under $100 till my year promo expired, UGH!

In CT:
Comcast Digital Cable, (digital boxes on two tvs), HBO, Cinemax $118 a month.:scared1: I'd get rid of all but expanded basic, but DH needs his speed channel.

AT&T Phone and DSL: Two phone lines, no extra junk stuff like Caller ID/Call Waiting, etc. A Long DIstance Plan with no monthly fee (and we use a calling card for Long Distance Call), The 'fastest' DSL available in the area (which is $29.99 of this bill). Plus all the extra junk fees and taxes that the phone company charges = monthly bill about $70-$75.

Not much option for changing anything: Our Cable Company does not offer phone service in my town. At&T is just starting to add U-Verse here, I haven't looked into it yet, not sure if I can get it or not in my part of town.
I did look into switching DSL to Cable Internet: Cable Internet costs $42.95 per month and you have to pay $99. installation fee and $3. per month modem rental forever. Bah.
