How much do you hop?

I hop between the parks several times a day, it's not uncommon for me to notice some short lines on my line app and hop parks just for one or 2 rides. I love the convenience.

To our family, they're really just one park with two different flavors. It's not WDW. (My wife does not ever want to go back to WDW due to the bus shuttles and lack of flexibility. I'm more willing, but not enough when she's set against it)

Once or twice usually unless something comes up like a ride breaking down or crazy crowds in one park. We like to play it by ear and go with the flow. Too much planing takes away the fun.

If we're at DL, can we send a runner to DCA and pick up passes for everyone, even if everyone you're getting FP for are in DL? I've always wondered about this.

Thanks in advance.

Lori

I think all the tickets have to be scanned at the gate to be considered valid for that park. A friend of mine ran into this once, but it was their first initial entry of the day, so they hadn't hopped yet. Maybe that makes a difference? Hopefully someone else has tried this & can answer your question.

You're right. The tickets have to already have been used to enter the park where you want to pull Fastpasses. So if OP's party is in DL, they only way to send a runner from DL to DCA is if the party began the day in DCA and then hopped over to DL.

Actually, I believe once you're scanned into one park, it counts. I just did this last weekend. Our whole party started the day in DL. Mid-morning I took everyone's passes and ran over to DCA to get RSR FP's before they ran out. Had no problems.

We are all AP holders, though...I wonder if that is the difference? I was just always told once you're scanned into a park, it's like being present at both...but perhaps that's only on AP's??:confused3

To answer the OP: We park-hop back and forth all day...to grab FP's, see a show, eat somewhere in particular, etc....they are so close together, they might as well be one park! :)

We hop several times a day. I always start our day in DL, but my Dh loves to have a beer or glass of wine for lunch when he's on vacation, so we usually eat lunch over at CA. :thumbsup2

Once you are scanned into either park, you can have one person take all the tickets and pull Fast Passes from the other park. Just as long as the ticket has been scanned for that day.

We hop lots....don't count too much. We enjoy using the GCH entrance back to the hotel and will sometimes go from DL and hop to DCA just to go into GCH.
