How much do you get done during MK's extra magic hour?

Right now it seems as if extra magic hours for MK are offered on Friday. If that stays the same through the spring, Friday wouldn't be the greatest day for us to do the MK given our schedule. It wouldn't be unworkable, just not ideal.


So, in weighing the pros and cons... how much do people typically get to do during the 8:00 - 9:00 extra magic hours? I was assuming we could get in 4 headliner rides (maybe with the exception of 7 Dwarves, which seems to have a wait any time of day) between the hours of 8 and 10 with a relatively short wait; whereas it would be more like 2 headliners if we rope dropped on another day. But I've also heard that the waits are longer at 9:00 on extra magic hours days because there are already people in the park, so wasn't sure how much that offset the extra hour at 8:00.


I've actually done the extra magic hour but it was during the absolute slowest time of year, so assuming this won't apply to springtime, when we will be at 'red' crowd levels. At that time of year, if waking up early is no issue, how 'worth it' is the extra hour? Do you get a lot done or maybe just one extra ride?

I am following along to read the replies. We have not done as many trips that past few years as we used to. In the past we had great success with EMH at Mk and I am curious to see if other still think that is the case. i would think it might depend on how crowded the parks were in general for the time frame you are going. But, we dont go as often as we used to so I am not sure if things have changed....
