How much do you cost per day?

How much do you cost PER DAY? Take your monthly expenses - basically all the money that goes OUT for any reason... bills, food, clothes, eBay, Starbucks, etc. Then divide that amount by the # of people in your household, then divide that by 30. I am relatively cheap . I am $18.66 a day.

Yeah, I know this isn't perfect... obviously some members of the family consume more income that others... but it's an estimate.

I'm at $50 a day. There are only 2 of us.

With my student loans, I cost about 68.00 per day. Without them, I am about 50 a day...

I need to pay those off and soon!!!

This is interesting. I think I'm about $37/day.

For comparison purposes, I've read statistics before that some people live on less than a $1 a day in many developing countries.

I think we should count car insurance... its part of how much it takes to maintain your standard of living.

I am counting my student loans too, but my payment on those is low enough to not really matter too much.

I still feel like I am forgetting something... Should I add DH's $100 and my $50 monthly allowance? Oh, AND gas! That adds another $250 a month... geeze!

If so, our NEW grand total comes to...

$40 a day...but that's not including DH's student loans or his credit card payment because I don't know what they are! I know the CC has $1000 on it, and he pays way more than the minimum payments...but no idea about the student loans.

I'm kind of pleased...I thought it would be WAY more!

$106 not counting money put into savings/retirement plans, but NYC has a high cost of living.

I left out health insurance, dental insurance, flexible healthcare spending account deductions, life insurance and my monthly gym payments. So it's a little bit more but I already put the calculator away, lol.
