How much do you coordinate your outfits to your group and your location/plans?

I see people all the time in the parks and restaurants who have clearly planned out their outfits to go with their current location (Star Wars shirts at Hollywood Studios, clothing about Horizons at Epcot, Polynesian prints at 'Ohana, safari style clothes at Animal Kingdom, etc.) and my family is no different. My husband will wear his Horizons or Mad Genius shirt at Epcot, we wear our "I'll be your Minnie/Mickey!" shirts when we eat at Chef Mickey's, and our Turkey Leg and Dole Whip shirts at Magic Kingdom. We are even dorky enough to coordinate with each other. For example, he will wear his Doc shirt when I wear my Snow White shirt. I have also seen people in the parks who are just all normal about it and wear what they happen to wear that day. So what kind of tourist are you? Do you fully coordinate? Put in some effort to coordinate? Coordinate very little? Don't really care and just wear whatever you feel like that morning?

We did didn't on our 2008 trip and we clashed in our pictures. I did not like it at all. In 2012 I had all our outfits picked out for each park. It didn't have to go with the park, but we were all in shades of blue or red or whatever. The colors looked so much better in our pictures. My dds did wear more themed shirts and we just blended ours to go with them.

This is one of the things I geek out about. I like for us to coordinate at least some days for the pictures. I'm planning on grey, blue and black for everyone for this trip. It's a surprise for the kids so I'm just going to pack their clothes in ziplocks with the day written on them "to make it faster to get ready" in the mornings. And I'm going to volunteer to help dh by packing his clothes and gosh, the shirts will all be those colors--pretty easy as he wears those colors a lot anyway.

I am figuring out how to coordinate with Belle's Christmas dress at Akershus I think dd can wear a dark red and blue dress and I can add a dark red scarf to a blue top, then the boys can wear pale blue and we will all coordinate and show up against that royal blue backdrop.

Then crossing my fingers for an A&E fastpass, that day I will put dd in an A&E Mickey head shirt any ds in a baseball Mickey head shirt (found transfers on
Etsy so I can iron them into blue t shirts).

No coordination here except an outfit or two for DD. Last trip she had a Duffy dress that I put her in for Epcot and she wore her IaSW dress to MK. I'm more of a neutral dresser though (go-to outfits are typically denim capris and a solid colored top from Loft or The Limited) so we've never clashed in a photo.

I plan my daughter's outfits down to the characters we'll be meeting that day. I have several smocked Disney princess outfits, an Elsa applique outfit, smocked Minnie, and of course, this trip she'll have her DP Cinderella costume and her Elsa costume. I'm always on the lookout for new Disney clothes. I try and coordinate colors when we do CRT or Akershus so we all "match" in the photo.

None at all. I'm not a huge fan of character clothes for myself. I tend to do dresses or shorts and casual tops for myself.
My daughter (8) dresses herself so she may have a particular look she's going for but I doubt it.

No coordination, ever. We are on vacation. We wear what we feel is comfortable, not what matches each other or where we will be going. Since they are 17 and 13, I am beyond dictating what my kids wear.

I'm going to be lucky if we have enough clean clothes for all of us to wear during the vacation, plus I will probably be a bit pressed for time packing, so there will be no family coordination of outfits for us. I am planning on making "bundles" of clothes for the kids, that include underwear, socks, a top and a bottom for each day to expedite the getting ready in the AM process, but again, I'll be happy if the tops and bottoms match each other without matching everyone else. All that said, I must admit I am doing some theming with the kids: on HS Frozen day, they have (non-matching) Frozen shirts and the Target-style Anna and Elsa dresses, and on their BBB/MK/CRT day they will have Disney store princess dresses to wear. I'm packing myself and the two DDs, DH is on his own for packing his stuff.

Occasionally with my destination, never with my group. Although I've enjoyed wearing Star Wars tees to Hollywood Studios so much the last few years that I am tempted to do Star Wars shirts for my entire trip this year.

Getting clothes that showed our Disney Side is something my family got really into in the weeks leading up to our trip (tomorrow!)...We got Disney tees and tanks for each day of our trip and even made sure to each get a Frozen shirt for our day at Frozen Summer Fun.

This is one of the reasons I try to coordinate. We did family pictures one year (not at disney) and we all ended up wearing black, red, dark grey or dark purple, except my SIL who ended up wearing light bright lime green. I love the picture because it is just one of two that I have with my whole extended family and I am very happy to have it to hang on my wall. But that green sure does stick out.

We don't coordinate , but I expect family members to wear a shirt that will not ruin the pictures. My son wore an ugly eyeball shirt with blood coming out of the eye at Disneyland after I told him to please not wear it. He is a young adult. Needless to say I had to spend hours photoshopping the shirt as it ruined our family pictures.

In the first couple of trips we all just wore whatever, but then we discovered Disneybounding, and we always try and theme it to what park we're going to/what characters we'll see.

For example in Aug we're doing:
Lady T & Drizella the first day when we're at 1900
FOTLK bound for our AK day
Anna & Elsa for MK
Aurora & Malificient at Epcot
Cap Hook & Smee for our last MK day

I find it's super fun to theme a little bit more towards what you're doing that day!

I don't coordinate with members of my family usually (however my dad and I have a lot of similar shirts so sometimes it just happens) however I do try to plan my outfits anyway. I have a nice collection of Doctor Who/Disney shirts that I like to wear as well as a Haunted Mansion/Star Wars mansion mash-up shirt I love, and it would be a little silly to wear that at Epcot, wouldn't it?

I only did a little of this on our June trip. My daughter and I both wore Polynesian dresses to the Luau. My daughter wore a Tinker Bell shirt when we met her, and her Anna and Elsa shirt when she met them, with an Aurora sticker on it so Aurora wouldn't feel felt out!

I usually just wear a generic Disneyland shirt when we go to Disneyland, but maybe I should try to mix it up for our September trip!

I don't dictate what DH wears. That being said his wardrobe is mostly made up of blue, green, black, and khaki, so he's pretty easy to coordinate around. I will probably try to coordinate my outfits with the kids so they don't clash. We won't all be wearing the exact same shade of blue, but it's easy to make sure that everyone is wearing similar type shades (blues and yellows, blue and green, green and khaki, blue and peach/pink). All their outfits are shorts and t-shirts, DD has a couple of comfy sundresses, so it's not like I have to go shopping to manage it, and their clothes are plenty comfortable. I put together a ziplock bag with each outfit for each day including underwear, socks, and hair ties for DD (4) and DS (1), and since I'm doing that anyway, it's pretty easy to coordinate things. This may change once the kids are old enough to do their own packing, but for right it works and it makes the pictures look nice.

Character print shirts aren't really our style, so we won't worry about those, and I don't think we'll bother theming our outfits to the park (ie no safari prints at Animal Kingdom). That's more hassle then it's worth to me.

Lol...my girls are 21 and 23 and we like to coordinate our clothes. I don't really call it dictating....but we like the way it looks in pictures. We don't match but have theme days. Texas Rangers one day, University of Texas another day, Stephen F Austin University another day. Makes it easier for CM's to tell where our party ends...makes the pictures look better.

My husband isn't picky about what he wears and will wear whatever I get out for him lol.
