Just wondering - we are not on the dining plan - so I am figuring out my food budget, what do you find is the average CS lunch or dinner? In park?

TIA

I budget about $10 per adult and $6 per child for lunch and a bit more for dinner and we're a family of 4 so I usually allow about $35 for lunch and about $50 for dinner.

Of course, it's approximate but it works out in the end.

I think $8 dollars would be a good average for a combo type meal with a coke to drink. You could probably go cheaper if you got ice water instead of a coke for your drink. If you wanted dessert with your CS, usually a cookie or brownie, it would raise it to about $10.

Check out allearsnet.com, they have menus and prices of all the CS places. YOu will know more about how much to budget when you check out the menus.

Another thing to keep in mind is portion sizes. Portions in the parks (we found) were generally only big enough for one person (with the notable exception of Flame Tree Barbeque at AK), at the resorts, however, the portions were MUCH larger. My husband and I could easily share a meal at the POFQ food court and still have food left over. Just something to keep in mind. I'm sure others could tell you where you might get larger portions if someone can/will share meals with a spouse or child.

I agree with the last poster here. DF and I are pretty big eaters and split a lot of CS meals at WDW.

We found that we could spend about $10-$15 on one big meal... appetiser, entree (sandwich or something) and dessert and be very full just splitting it.

Otherwise, I'd budget about $10 per person (adult).

We had very good luck at Flame Tree BBQ (AK) and Noodle Station (MK) and also at our resort Food Court (CBR) in the past!

For us we needed full meals for the adults (didn't get desserts) but we were often able to feed 2 kids on one kids meal and our leftovers. It also heavily depended on what else we were eating that day though. When we ate breakfast in our room obviously we were all hungrier than the days we ate breakfast out. We also tended to not snack much so we were hungrier at meal times.
