I'm curious what people spend on dues each year. lol
Does anyone use the DVC Toolkit? It calculates for you.

I guess you can be happy that you have more points than meI don't want to think about it, LOL.
$137K, plus closing costs on 17 contracts.
But I think you have more points that what I purchased since you probably have had those contracts for a while and points keep increasing in costIt really would be hard to say because I have bought/sold about 8 contracts over the 15 years, and some I ended up with a profit that I used to buy other contracts...but I can say that the current contracts I own cost me $123K....but, as I said, made profits on some of what I sold so its less than that....
Yes, I like this app! $5600 this year.I'm curious what people spend on dues each year. lol

I spend over 3k for my measly 332 pointsYes, I like this app! $5600 this year.
Oh yes and character experiences! Flights add up and theme park tickets. The tickets will always keep going upThe hidden cost is how much you spend on the trips every year, even with DVC, in terms of park tickets/AP, flights, food etc.
Disney trips are still expensive even with the room already paid for!
Hahah yep! Just now seeing $175 for a chair to sit in at Aulani for a dayThe hidden cost is how much you spend on the trips every year, even with DVC, in terms of park tickets/AP, flights, food etc.

Awwww wow ! What a great deal and I’m sure many years of awesome memories! Our initial purchase was in 1991 during pre-sales at OKW (DVC at the time) As I recall we bought 500 points at $48 or $49.
Thanks, yes, we've enjoyed it tremendously. Our children and now grandchildren are growing up at WDW.Awwww wow ! What a great deal and I’m sure many years of awesome memories!7
That’s awesome ! Yeah my child is little so I wanted to start sooner than later with a dvc contract. I figured the more years to enjoy when the magic is at the peak !Thanks, yes, we've enjoyed it tremendously. Our children and now grandchildren are growing up at WDW.
(Dating myself, I stayed as a 12 year old the first week of the Poly in October 1971)
We now own 5 resorts with over 5000 points.
That is incredible! My mind boggles at your yearly dues but also at your epic vacations! Thanks, yes, we've enjoyed it tremendously. Our children and now grandchildren are growing up at WDW.

I never thought to pay my dues with gift cards! How can you do this ? Do they have to be specifically Disney gift cards ? Too bad they can’t charge credit cards for dues to get credit card pointsBecause we sold our 220 point PVB contract after using the points and then bought 150 points at OKW direct, 160 (104 for 2024, 160 for 2025+) points at AKV resale, and 85 (85 for 2023+) points at BRV resale, our 2024 gross dues came out to $4,972.86. However, we did save 10% on the PVB dues by buying $250 gift cards from Costco for $225 (it's a corporate account, so I was able to buy more than just two).
If I inflate 2024 dues by 5%, I'm estimating my OKW dues will be around $1,554, AKV dues around $1,526, and BRV dues around $775 for a grand total of $3,855. Hopefully, I'll be able to buy more gift cards from Costco closer to when dues have to be paid. Otherwise, I guess I'll just have to head over to Target.
For those with 1000+ points: do you find you use them all? Do you rent at cost to extended family? Or do you end up renting out through a 3rd party?
