Unless the number of trees, is in the double digits, it's not a lot.
When I was a little kid, we used to put up one tree. Then, in 1984, when I was 8, we moved into a big house, and we put up 2. The next year, we said, "how many trees would we have to put up to put out all of the ornaments?" The answer was 24 trees. I think the record was 42. Trees, range in size from 2-8', but "decorated" means lights, garlands and ornaments. So that's my "normal." My parents have one spare bedroom solely to store the Disney Christmas, and another spare bedroom solely to store the non-Disney.
Now that I have a house of my own, I do similar, but I have a lot less space, so all of my decorations still fit into the spare bedroom's closet. This year is an "off" year. I haven't been home much, because my Mom is battling cancer, and since Thanksgiving, I've been sick and we're leaving to go to the in-laws on the 20th. But our "less" year, is a 7' tree, a 5' tree, three 4' trees and a 2' tree. And we put out our
LEGO village, and nativity. But not the Disney village, or any of the other decorations we normally have.
