Hi everyone,
Not sure if this is the right place to ask this or not. I am curious on how much cash to bring. We are going for a week. I am not anticipating making a "major" purchase but if we do I will just use our c/c and pay it off when we get home. We are on the dining plan, so we don't have to worry too much about that....
Any ideas?

DF and I will be honeymooning 1/6-1/13. We are on the DxDDP, so the only money we will need is for shopping, our Wishes Cruise, Carriage Ride, ect... We plan on spending no more than $500.

How much cash depends on when you are going and where you are staying. If you are staying on site, almost all point of sales accept the room charge, and you just settle that by credit card when you check out. This is easy, but also makes it easier for you to buy things without really thinking about it. Regarding the when you are going, I do believe you will be responsible for the tipping on the dining plan as of 1/1/2008, so you may want enough cash for that. Figure 50-75 for 2 people per TS meal and then budget your tips accordingly. My GF brought ~200 in cash for 4 days a few weeks ago, and spent about 150. This was with us splitting meals, and her buying a shirt and some small snacks. Hopefully this helps. (Remember to budget in souvenirs. Shirts ~ 30, polos ~ 50, postcards ~1)

I bring about 200 in cash (and one check-since you can cash a check at most of the front desks-the amount varies per resort), also I bring 2 CC's one my DH has and 1 I have(for emergencies-but we split them up incase of theft). I always charge everything to the room-and check it over before paying(usually I apply my Disney rewards credit the night before I leave).

We're only bringing about $200 in cash, just for incidentals like laundry and the slushie stand in France that isn't set up to take the KTTW or credit. For the most part, we charge everything to the room because it is so much easier to keep track of things that way. And since we'll be on the deluxe dining package and don't do much shopping anymore, we don't really need much cash or credit anyway.
