we arrive at MK for RD but have a 10:00 ADR @ CRT? I mean prior to the ADR of course. This was the only time available-we have touring plans but I feel we should arrive a least a little early for the ADR. The kids are both girls, age 8 and 3 (first trip) and we would ideally like to hit up Fantasyland first probably? i don't even know how far that is from the castle! We will obviously do more after the ADR but wanted to take advantage of getting there for RD as much as possible.

TIA for any help/advice anyone can give!

You might have a hard time prying your girls away from the rides to go spend an hour at a sit down restaurant....

You may get three rides in.... or less or more depending when you go... when will you be there?

Can you change your ressie to at least a lunch time slot?

Well 3 Fantasyland rides before 10 isn't too bad. I think you might get 3 of the slower moving rides(i.e. the dark rides) + IASW. Any chance it's an EMH morning? :earsboy:

If it's a slower time of the year, you could get in 4 or 5 Fantasyland rides before your ADR (probably Snow White, Peter Pan, Carrousel, Dumbo and maybe Pooh or Mad Tea Party- and do Dumbo first). The Castle is right in Fantasyland- you can get there from any of the rides mentioned above in less than 2 minutes.

Fantasyland is literally just outside the castle. I would head to Dumbo first, then Peter Pan, Pooh, and either Snow White or It's a Small World. If you can't fit all that in, I would fp either Peter Pan or Pooh for later because those lines tend to get very long very fast!

We always start our trips with rope drop at MK and then 10:00 ressies at Crystal palace. We usually do Dumbo, Pooh, Peter Pan, Carousel, and small world all by 9:45 then head to CP. I think you will be in good shape!!:)

Thank you all so much! I was actually able to get a ressie for 10:25 so that helps-we are going the end of May! Thanks again for all your help!

IMO I would SKIP Snow White, especially if you have a 3 year old little girl... that ride still scares me :scared1: and I am 35!!!! :lmao:

Dumbo, Pan, Pooh, Tea Cups, IASM/carosel.... you'll be good to go!

I agree with ALL of the "positive" PP's above....

THat's an Awesome ADR....and you are lucky to get CRT at all...princess:

The girls are going to LOVE IT!

Have a magical Trip!

Mary

I would go Dumbo 1st...2 times if needed and then the carosel(sp) then Pooh and FP Peter Pan...I would ride IASW if time permits...Those 1st 2 Dumbo and the merry go round are slow loaders...I would head strait to Dumbo at RD...when done get your FPs for PP right away...BUT go to Dumbo FIRST get PP FPs before you head to pooh

As PP's have said you are basically under the castle and have to go through it to get to FL...its all very close together which also makes it feel very crowded in the afternoon even on uncrowded days...you will be happy you got it out of the way early

I agree with this strategy - head straight for Dumbo - ride twice if you can. Get FP's for Peter Pan then ride Pooh. Then see how much time you have - you may be able to do the carousel and something else.

Are you planning to be over in Adventureland at any point? Or Tomorrowland? The reason I ask is that Aladdin and Astro-Orbitor are like Dumbo, so it isn't really necessary to ride Dumbo a second time if the line has started to build. A-O is fun because it's so high up and the view is great, and Aladdin is fun because of the "spitting" camel - it's great to try to aim the water spout at others! There is a ride in Dinoland at AK that is like Dumbo too. With all of those other Dumbo-like rides around, I would reconsider the second Dumbo ride, unless it's still practically a walk on after your first ride - otherwise, you'll miss the chance to do something else in FL while the lines are still relatively short.

True but they are not Dumbo...those others still dont get the same attention that Dumbo does...there is a reason they are adding another in the expansion....its wildly popular...I do agree the AO is fun but it is painfully slow as you have to load an elevator to get up to it...I wouldnt even go get in line unless its right after RD we usually do right after our RD ride on SM

Agree with the Dumbo - Peter Pan - Pooh advice above! And I can't remember if you said it was EMH? We've gotten 12 rides in by 10 am when starting at an 8 am EMH rope drop. So I think 5 or 6 rides you could make easily with a 9 am start. Enjoy enjoy!

I guess I don't understand the popularity of Dumbo myself, and neither did my kids. We had way more fun on Aladdin!

Depending on what dates your trip is you may have time to change your ADR time, just keep checking. It took me calling 2-3 times a day for 2 weeks, but I finally got a Fantasmic dinner ressie :)
