If I book through Resort --- " on -site" & Buy my Ticket's at Costos' ----- How much am I really Saving ------- It will be for 2 Adults' 2 Children under 10 yrs..... Going Oct 18 19 20 21 ,2013----- Or is it Better to just Get a Package and be Hassel - Free....... ;)

I'm going to move this to the Resorts board.

The bad thing about packages is they have pretty hefty cancellation/change fees should something happen to your trip. The tickets won't be active until they are scanned at the gate so that's no problem. Also...the room can be easily rebooked for another date and you won't lose anything. Sometimes it's not really about saving as much as potential problems...you know?

My thoughts too.

Just call and book the hotel 5-10 minutes. Then go to Costco, you know you need paper towels and toilet paper, win win situation.

Yeah booking a hotel at universal is pretty much hassle free both online or calling:)

packages also have a $50 change fee each time you make an adjustment.

no charges if you make any adjustments on room only bookings.

Ok, so if I book room only, and then add on tickets when we get there (no Costco's around here to join), will they give me the hour early access and the special line at rides for resort guests?

Will I save anything on tickets if I wait to buy them at the hotel? Will I get a discount on the tickets?

if you are a hotel guest onsite, you get early entry.
all in your ressie gets EE.

check out UT for discounted tickets.
if you subscribe to Mousesavers.com, they have a link in the mailings of 15th of the month that links to another discount for UT tickets.

or you can buy the UO tickets online thru www.uninversalorlando.com
(no discount)

can do print at home or kiosk for pick up.

The only way to know exactly how much you would save is for you to do the math on each way you've thought of booking your trip.

There are no extra hotel benefits you get by staying onsite with a package vs booking directly through loewshotels.com, so that's a non-issue. Just do the math!

i just reread and glanced at your dates.

if you plan to go and stay onsite those nights, book your room prior to the release of hhn info.

rooms do go fast for the weekends and might book up during the summer, due to that event.

Does Costco still have the Universal tickets? They haven't been in our Costco in over a year (Hampton Roads, VA).

Since the latest batch expire the end of this year, they probably had a limited amount at each store.
