How Much Are You Paying For Airfare?

Frontier is new to me, even though I don't live far from Trenton. Have you flown with them before.

Are carry- ons free ? and how much does it cost for 1 checked bag?

I checked into them because the fare from DC to Orlando was only $138 RT which is unbelievable. So my husband said "what's the catch?". I *believe* we "paid" about $210 r/t from FNT to MCO for our Oct 19-24 trip. I used points for the four of us, but I believe the cash rate was showing as $99 from FNT->MCO and then $109 from MCO-> FNT.

(Our actual OOP cost was $20)

Philadelphia Airport is 32 miles from me and Trenton is 29 miles.

So either would work, was even considering flying out of Baltimore, but not now.

My return date in December is not open yet on Frontier, does anyone know when they will extend the dates out?

Edit: Looks like there is a carry on fee too.........Carry -on and 1 checked bag = $45.00 added on to each flight........looking like southwest out of Philly might be the way to go.

$213 round trip on Southwest from FNT - MCO Nov 1 - 9. I've had to rebook twice to get this rate. Around $220ish is about what I'd consider normal recently. In previous years I've gotten roundtrip fares for $180ish. In February this year I caught a one day sale plus used a Coke Rewards coupon to get a $164 round trip, I booked those flights in November for the February trip so $164 is my current Holy Grail price.

That doesn't seem too bad. I plan in going on our first ever trip next June and am debating between flying or driving (family of 6 here).

$206 RT from Louisville to Orlando from July 12-19 on SW. Both are direct flights, of course no baggage fees. Out at Noon next Sat, heading back at 4:00 on the 19th. Couldn't ask for better times and are thrilled with the prices.

Hi everyone. I'm traveling from NY to MCO in July. Bought my tickets back in February and paid 1104.00 for a family of 4 on Jetblue. The same tickets today are 700.00 more. I guess there are no more last minute deals.

Keep checking, the flights I just posted on SW for next Sat were updated on Thursday as the price had dropped. $103 out and $103 back less than 10 days before departure is something I haven't seen in a LONG time.

Those are good prices out of SDF. I checked the prices earlier today because one year I bought tix on July 4th and got $69/each way! Granted, that's been several years back but I was hoping anyway! But unfortunately, not that cheap today.

Originally booked Houston to Tampa for November 9-14 on Southwest and had a good price
280. rd trip but then the June sale came out and got Houston to Orlando for 286. rd trip - a little early departure on the outbound but worth the extra time that I can be in the parks.

The price for the same ticket now is 405/rd trip - so I am very happy.

Booked Southwest from GRR (Grand Rapids, MI) to MCO for $282 round trip (4 people).

It dropped twice in price to a final of $264 per person and I swapped flights for the cheaper price.

Well, now they cancelled my flight and bumped me to a different one and it doesn't appear the money I saved is in my account anymore so I guess the final price is actually the original $282/person.

Sorry, just getting back to this thread.

I've flown Frontier several times from Trenton (to Orlando, Detroit and Indianapolis) and always had good experiences! I even had an issue (related to a credit) and had to use their customer service. They far exceeded my expectations in resolving the matter!

Yes, they charge for carry-ons and checked baggage, but you can bring a "personal item" that fits under the seat, backpack size.
