How much are you interested in the GCV?

Where does your interest rank for the GCV?

  • I'll add on a small amount of points (25-50). Enough for a trip every few years.

  • I plan to add on 75-100 points or more.

  • I might go there but won't add-on any GCV points.

  • GCV doesn't interest me at all.

  • I'm not a DVC member yet, but plan on buying points for the GCV.

Since I have been asking every Vacation Club Guide about California for years I am definitely buying GCV. How many points will depend on the dues. I like to take at least one trip to DL each year so having DVC there is a great bonus. Due to the small amount of units being offered I think the 11 month window will be very important which I why I plan to buy in as soon as it is offered. While there are many "Cheaper" hotels available in the vicinity of DL they have all continued to raise their prices each year to the point that the bargain ones are not worth the price to me. I'd rather pay a few $$ more for a place that doesn't totally gross me out or make me feel unsafe. While Hawaii is interesting I can't see it being anything more than a once in a while destination for me since I live on the east coast.

I voted that I will definitely buy points.

I believe that it will sell out incredibly quick (our guide said within 2 months) I think maybe even sooner. He told us that the people who bought DVC in Anaheim will have first crack at the sales. He also told us that there is a very large amount of Anaheim members and assumes the majority would have interest in buying GCV (that was a universal selling point of guides in CA..that CA DVC owners would have first rights @ buying GCV).

And, having only 52 units (that is what my guide told me as far as amount of units) you would have almost have to be an owner there to get a reservation. I agree completely with his analysis.

I just don't know what Disney is doing to our family. Just bought @ OKW :cool1: Contemporary is gonna put us back quite a bit, and now GCV?? Looks like PB&J sandwiches for us until 2010:laughing:
