How much are the Mickey ears at the park?

I want to have a pair of mickey ears from disneyland due to the fact is it my first time- LOL! also how much are the atugraph books? kind of a newbie! LOL

The classic pair is under $10 I believe. I don't remember exactly, but I know it was alot cheaper than I was expecting.

my son's ears with the blinking lights was $14. there are tons of different 'ears'. my daughter has one with a princess veil, they have pirate ears, blinking ears, plain ears, etc... my daughter's autograph book was $10, with slots for holding pictures.

Is it free to have your name stitched onto a Mickey Ears hat? If so, does anyone have photos of what the free stitched name looks like?

I think I may have made a mistake by thinking I could get these on eBay (pre-trip) for cheaper than getting them in the parks.

All hats are stitched by machine now. The stitching is cursive. Don't know if it's included with the hat anymore or not.

With the ears and the simple black felt pirate hats, you get your name on it. included. Not all hat stores have the machines, so you just take the hat and receipt to a store with the machines later, and get it done then.

I highly recommend having your name put on ASAP, b/c it makes the hat less attractive to thieves...DS's un-named felt pirate hat was taken from our stroller (really idiotic that we left it there to begin with, but my brother's Duke hat and our sweatshirt weren't taken, and they were on top of the pirate hat, so they went digging!), but if we had put his name on it, it would have been less worth it for someone to take.

DS's autograph book (shiny blue with many characters on front, place for a picture on one side and autograph on other side) was 12.95 plus tax.


Can't remember what the ears were...12, 14, something like that?

i bought my plain minnie ears for 9.95! and when i went there in June 2007, the names were free! i had my name put on them at DCA in the greetings store.

They have the bride ears with veil, and I saw a groom *hat*, that maybe had ears on it?


addendum to my other post...the only ears we looked at were the pirate ears and such. not the plain ears. which might explain the price difference.

Yep...there were really cute bride and groom ears (groom ones are a top hat with ears like Bumbershoot said)

Thanks for the info, everyone. I would not recommend doing what I did: I found a "good deal" on 2 YOAMD Mickey Ears hats on eBay, and after shipping, I paid $17.67, which is $8.84 each. But I then took them to my local EmbroidMe store to have my kids' names put on them, and that cost me another $20! Highway robbery, but the first mom-and-pop embroidery shop I tried couldn't fit the hat into their machine.

I think I'd rather allow my kids to pick out their own hat, and enjoy getting the name put on it in the park. Maybe I'll still let them do it. Our plans for the YOAMD hats is to let "Tinkerbell" deliver them to the hotel room one night, as a surprise. They'll either fall in love with the YOAMD hats, and have the "I have one that you can't buy, and I love it because Tink gave it to me" attitude, or they'll see the other options in the park stores and wish for one of those instead. We'll see.

But I know they'll be happy when they receive their presents from Tink, if only temporarily. I paid too much, but I'll look at it this way:

Embroidery of names onto those hats: $20.00
Seeing kids believe in magical fairies: priceless!

My son had his name embroidered on his first set of blinking mickey ears, which did not stop a mickey thief from taking it home. we had to buy another set of ears, which did not leave the hotel room.
