I have looked online and I have seen nothing consistant. Was is the difference between a premium annual pass and a regular one? If we purchase a DVC this year we will use point for a trip June 16-23 in 2014 and June 7-15 in 2015 would this work? both trips on one AP or would we need to go more to make up the cost?

$425 regular AP and $559 for the Premium and yes, with the dates you posted you could use one AP.

The regular AP includes admission to the four major theme parks. The Premium AP includes admission to the four major theme parks, plus the water parks, DisneyQuest, ESPN Wide World of Sports, Disney's Oak Trial Golf Course.

If you purchase a "live" AP at WDW, or activate a previously purchased voucher (or will-call reservation or exchange certificate), the ticket is valid for one full year starting and ending on the date of activation. So if you get the live AP on June 16, 2014 it will be valid through park closing on June 16, 2015.

The major problem with Annual Passes concerns when they are in a drawer more than 100 miles from Disney World and they whine a lot and scream:

Use Me!

I hear you about that! I always thought it would not be worthwhile to us but with the DVC discount (if it stays that way next year) it just might be. So I can buy it and not activate it until I get there?

Even without DVC discount a premium AP is cheaper than two 7 day park hoppers with water park and more. Plus with AP you can get Tables in Wonderland that I like a lot more than DDP.

Isn't that the truth!! We are west coasters but traveled to WDW last November for the Wine and Dine 1/2 marathon. Started with 10 day park hoppers but upgraded with the special Premium AP offered last year to take advantage of the discounts and TIW. It paid even with just that trip, but boy do I want to get another trip out of it!!

Right now we do not do water parks or park hop but when the kids get older I can see us doing that. We currently do one park a day.
