How much are CMs paid?

I am having one of *those* days. DBF kept me up all night snoring and we battled at about 4am- screaming match. I ended up on the couch and now I'm tired, sore and generally witchy. He tried to say goodbye this morning and got an F-bomb in response. I just want to run away to Fla and drive a bus around Disney. Not the most glorious job, but an honest one and I think I would like it. Any ideas how much they make? Any ideas on convincing DBF that this is a good idea or should I leave him behind to snore in peace?

I think I would try and come up with a better solution to your problems than running away to Florida!

Seriously, they don't make much money, and when a bunch of my friends decided to work down there (this was some years ago) they all had to have permanent Florida addresses (no hotels) before they were offered jobs.

But, here is the link to their casting page if you are set on driving the Disney bus. It does say they are hiring drivers: :)

My daughter was a CM last summer and was paid $6.40/hr! She has said bus drivers do get paid the most, but I'm not sure how much. Also don't know if that's a job that would be easy to get...:confused3

I think for the most part, CMs are at or just above minimun wage. The bus drivers are about double that and I think that carries over for the boat drivers, too.

All across Florida residents tend to get preference for jobs. Florida is generally a great place to live, but any move should be made with careful consideration. People snore here, too!

CM's are not alloweed to tell how much they make, if they do they could lose there job.

May I join you??? :thumbsup2

I think this would be my ideal retirement Disney job....:cool1:

Then, again I may change my mind after the first protein spill.......

That link has nothing about drivers. They must have a CDL and they are unionized. It is probably the highest paying hourly position, or possibly second to certain performers who are Equity members.

Also keep in mind that the cost of living in Florida is very high compared to many other US locations, and the hourly cm wage doesn't make it easy to live on 7.25 an hour!

from the website:

For men, hair should have a neat, natural look, cut over the ear and off the collar. You must be clean-shaven every day. You may wear one ring per hand and a watch. However, bracelets, earrings, and necklaces are not acceptable.

I can't give up my gold chain necklace or my bracelets. Dang!

Is Transportation not bus drivers? Is it just monorail? Now I'm curious...

Thanks for the responses. In reality I would not just drop everything and move because of snoring:rotfl: but the thought has run across my brain more than once today. I would be poor, but happy. Sounds like a good plan to me.:thumbsup2
