Just wondered how much it costs to have them show up at your reception and how long they stay for?

We won't be having a big affair, probably no more than 30 guests :)

I believe I saw that it was $1,200 for 2 characters, and this is for 1 hour, but I could be mistaken, I'm sure someone else will be along to confirm or correct me.

Characters are all the same price, $800 for one, $1,200 for two, and $1,600 for three. All for 30 minutes.

Be careful though - when we read through our contract it says 30 minutes from the time they leave the dressing rooms - so they may not be at your reception for the full 30minutes pirate:

Thats a bit cheeky. :( I wonder if it's worth it? Hmmm.......

I have, am and will argue with myself on that same question. The accountant in me is screaming NOOOOOO. $800-$1200 for 20 minutes. For that I can upgrade our hotel room AND take the entire party to a Character Brunch

But it is a once in a lifetime thing...the pictures that I see from PrincessShea are amazing. While I really want two, like Donald and Daisy, I'm thinking about comprising and just getting one (Donald). Yes it will still be $800, yes it will only be 20 minutes, but it won't be the full look back of I wish I woulda.....

Most all Greenrooms (Dressing rooms) are within immediate reach of performance areas. If there is a particular concern for one location, talk to your coordinator about it, but 30 minutes is pretty much a lock.

If anything, (and this is by NO means guaranteed) the characters will stay an extra minute or two if you need to get an extra picture, etc.

How it normally works when I host a reception: Characters enter, dance about three songs with all the guests. Then they do one slow song with Bride & Groom (and some other guests, as well). Then they assist in the cake cutting. The remaining time is used for personal photos with B&G/Wedding Party and immediate family, usually out of the main reception room (hotel lobby, etc).

Hope this helps!

We had four characters (Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy), and it was SOOO worth it. It was something I would have paid double for! We had a lot of kids at the wedding, and it was so much fun to see them interacting with the characters. They stayed with us for about 45 minutes. At one point I looked over to see Daisy sitting on the floor next to the kids table and she was colouring with the kids! It was amazing!! :goodvibes

(And you get priceless shots like this one...) ;)
