How many years can you bank points

How many years can points me banked (saved) before they have to be used or you lose them? We are currently awaiting ROFR on a 160 point AKV contract. What's the the longest we can save up points?

You can only bank points once. You would have to use them the next year or lose them.

You can borrow from the next UY. No further than that.

IOW, you can have a maximum of 3 years' worth of points for use - banked points from the previous year, the current year's points and the points from the next year.

Banking and Borrowing are final transactions - once the points are moved from one UY to another they are stuck in that UY.
There is no un-Banking or un-Borrowing.
Another thing is the points have to be there when you travel, not when you book. The booking windows will be HR at 11 months and any other DVC resort at 7 months.
