It is with a Heavy Heart that I report my sweet Joanne passed away yesterday afternoon. She passed on her own and the painful decision to take her off Life Support did not have to be made !!

I was too upset yesterday to post

I am remembering all the Love and Laughter she gave me over the last 3 years ., much of which has been shared on these boards . To have known her was a BlassingI concur with my staff that she has the peace she sooo deserved , as her quality of life the last few months was poor . I ask for your prayers for all the staff, family and her housemated as we put to rest, tomorrow a DEAR DEAR friend

Thank you all for your kind words and prayers. Today was rough as her family came over to go through some of her stuff and take a few momentos of her , the rest they left for the staff . We plan to put a few of her knic knacs up around the house , as a memory of her . Legally there is so much for the agency to do , both financially and paper work. All og the guys are planning on going to the wake tomorrow , which is gonna be a rough evening , I have extra staffing to help cope or stay back if any choose not to go !!I spent a bit of time looking at all her pix and certificates and it was a good thing to look back and see her at Disney, playing ball etc !! She led a full life until recently and so many of the staff were a huge part of it . I thank God for my awesome staff , knowing they will see this thru with their usual "Can Do"attitude and support each other and the other guys thru the next few days .

Thanks Marv !! This has been a very Tough time for us !!Tonight we went to the Wake with 5 of the consumers ! She looked beautiful Each year we do a Secret Santa and the week before she died we had all gone , Joanne as well and they each purchases their Secret Gift. Well the guy who had purchased for Joanne was thrilled to have picked her as they were at one time "seeing each other" . We talked about the gift and decided he would lay it in her coffin . The family was sooooo touched they told everyone how special it was and the smile on his face when I told him was precious !!The tears I am shedding now have a little joy in them !!These folks can do the kindest, sweetest things !!I will get thru tomorrow and then move on and I promise to get back to posting and updating . Thank you all for being the wonderful friends you always are . Dissers are special !!

I have been playing Farmvile quite a bit as it totally takes my mind off this horrible week !!Just when I thought it was over ,I go into work with Dan and hear the sad news that an individual I was her primary staff for several years ago and have remained close to passed away Thursday evening !!I am waiting to hear the arrangements as I want to go say good bye and hug her sister , who has been so supportive of her all these years

I have been playing Farmvile quite a bit as it totally takes my mind off this horrible week !!Just when I thought it was over ,I go into work with Dan and hear the sad news that an individual I was her primary staff for several years ago and have remained close to passed away Thursday evening !!I am waiting to hear the arrangements as I want to go say good bye and hug her sister , who has been so supportive of her all these years

When I left you we were heading to DTD!!!!To eat at Carol's favorite restaurant RAGLAN ROADAs we were a little early we looked around a bit and decided to check out the Lego Store , which from then on will always be dear to my heart !!!
As I was showing one of them something , I heard a voice and I thought one of them had done something as the voice sounded like SECURITY!!I looked up at this Large man , tall I mean , not in an insulting way and he is grinning !!It began to sink in who Mr Security was ..... YES it was none other than

Now you have to remember I had THE spoon with Marv on it that I had been holding a loft and yelling "Follow Marv" So they were all thrilled to see the REAL thing

Carol was introduced and told Marv knew all about her To which I got the EYE!!!!

After chatting for a while inside the Lego store we went out and took a couple of the classic type pix

Marv spied somethin sooooo very Rosie

Marv walked with us to Raglan Road where we said our fond farewells

I am sure Marv has many more pix to share of this total surprise meeting

I will continue with our meal atRaglan Road !!But I was under strict instructions from Karin to find those pix !!!

Wow Rosie, what a simply overwhelming week for you!!! That is just so sad that all of this is hitting at one time, although it is never a good time! You and all the families affected are still in my thoughts and prayers!!!
