How Many Vaca., Sick, Personal Days Do you get..

DH is military, so I guess his is different but.. 30 days of leave a year, sick days are decided by if you're sick and you get up at 6am to go to the doctor to get put on quarters. Granted he gets paid 24/7 so all his leave is paid, lol. They've just now made it so new dads can take 2 weeks of paternity leave, and it doesn't cost towards the leave they accrue each pay period. However if the dad's unit doesn't want him to have said leave, he won't get it.

dh currently gets 5 vacation weeks, 12 accrued sick a year, they carry forward year to year so he has tons, 3 personal days, paid holidays, and an AMAZING and I mean AMAZING health plan..........which is worth MORE than anything else previously mentioned.
I get a big fat ZERO, :rotfl2: well, seriously though...self employed so I take what is needed when its needed;)
We are Lucky Indeed~!

I work in health care as a nurse:
Vacation: I get 1 week after a yr of full time, 2 weeks after 3 years and 3 weeks after 7 years beyond that I don't know off top of head
Sick time:only if full time and you get half and hour/day worked. I believe it's something like that.
Personal time: 1 per yr if part time, 2 per year if full time and you earn more after working for co so may years

I have been at my current job for almost 2 years.
We earn PTO

0-1 years of employment - You earn 5.54 PTO hours per biweekly cycle and
.92 EI (Extended Illness Bank. EI accrual does not change with number of years employed) hours her cycle.

1-5 years of employment ypu earn 5.85 PTO hrs.
5-10 years you earn 7.38 PTO hrs
10-15 years you earn 8.30 PTO hrs
15 + you earn 8.92 hrs

I did pretty well my first year as I don't use my PTO time as it is accrued as my sister-in -law did and complained never get a full week of vacation often.

After working 3 full months you can start using accured PTO hrs
I took 1 day last July '08, 4 days Labor Day week in '08, 7 days in Feb '09 to go to Aruba, and 5 days in July '09 for Disney trip and I have used 2 sick days.
It's was pretty nice coming home from a vacation and still having 52 unused PTO hourd left to use.:)

I get 12 sick days and 3 personal days per school year. Sick days can acrue up to 240, personal days can't be rolled over into the next year.

I've been with my company for 33 years.

I get:

25 days vacation
3 paid personal days
8 holidays
15 weeks full pay sick--renewed each year
14 weeks half pay sick--renewed each year

I work for our local utility company, and have been there going on 9 years. We get 3.75 hours of sick leave every two weeks. Our annual leave(personal, vacation, etc.) we get 4.0 hours every two weeks for the first 10 years.
10-15 years you get 5 hours every two weeks.
16-20 years you get 6 hours every two weeks.
20+ you get 7 hours every two weeks.
We can save up to 280 hours AL, everything over 280 goes to sick leave every January.

We get CTO combined time off - 15 days to be used for sick/personal/vacation time

Zero sick and zero vacation days. I can work out of the office but I am expected to answer every email and every phone call within an hour between the hours of 7am and 10pm. So even when we go to Disney, I am one of those people always on my blackberry. I make enough so that I really can't complain, but I still miss jobs where I can have a whole day to myself.

Been w/ my company 18 months and I get:

10 vacation days
6 sick days
6 long term sick days (for use of illnesses lasting 3-5 days)
5 Personal Days
12 Holiday's

Only the long term sick can be carried over- any unused regular sick time is converted to long term sick. All other benefit time is lost if not used.

Where I teach (university-connected language school), full-timers get 6 sick days a year. Everybody gets 4 weeks of vacation because the school's only in session 48 weeks of the year, but it's not paid time off... it's between contracts.

I've been with my company over 30 years (major insurance company). I get 30 PTO days per year with the option to buy 5 additional. If you are sick, you have to take PTO for the first 5 days. After that, it goes into short term disability, which I believe is 8 weeks full pay, then a reduced amount.

My goodness, what do you do?

My goodness, what do you do?

Director of sales and marketing, but I also have to maintain the shopping websites and I am the only signer on the bank account so I have to ok everything. Every credit card sale, every bill that gets paid, every check that comes in and I do payroll too. But the pay is good and I don't really have to answer to anyone, but I do have to make sure all the salespeople do what they are supposed to do or else there isn't enough money around to do what we have to do. I also get to police productivity, check peoples emails, look at their phone bills and expenses and question how they spend their time. Yay me. But the pay is good, I must tell myself that 650 times a day and I get to wear flipflops and tank tops to work.
