How Many Trips Can I Milk?~A PTR

By the way Britt...I talk about random stuff in my PTR too...I mean totally non-related Disney stuff. I feel like I am having a normal conversation with my girlfriends...you know, somethink like, shoes, Disney, daughter, Disney, doctor, Disney...see in real life I talk about Disney more than anything else too![/QUOTE]

I feel the same way, ladies...you can talk about anything you want!

Sorry Britt, been a bit naughty and haven't caught up with your trippie in a few days :sad2: but its alright because I'm done now :woohoo: . I love it when people include random everyday stuff in their trippies, it makes people so much more easy to relate to and gives a real perspective of their lives. I would love to include stuff like that in mine, but frankly at the mo my life really isn't that interesting :sad2: .

So anyway I love those little index cards and what a fab idea to make them into an ADR index - the things you have in America are so much cooler and more fun than the boring and overpriced rubbish we have here in England, you lot really make me want to come and join you lot over there permanently  . And Faith's easter basket is so cool, I'm sure she will be very impressed, I would be :thumbsup2 . Your niece is so gorgeous, however I feel you really need to start Disneyfying her now before it becomes to late.

I am sooooo jealous about the Disney cruise, I may try your tactic and whisper into Nick's ear at night, maybe by the next time we go it may have worked :rotfl2:

2 Woo Hoos for you, Britt!!

#1 - I'm glad that you were able to find those tins and notebooks at Target - woo hoo! :yay:

#2 - Congratulations on the new baby - she is darling!!! :yay:

#3 - AND YOU'RE GOING ON THE CRUISE...yeah!!! :yay:

Thanks! I know, I can't believe DH said yes! :woohoo:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: OMG -- I am crying I'm laughing so hard! You are too funny! And way more observant of a reader than I am! I just enjoyed it at face value and because they mention Walt Disney World about six times on each page. I'm an easy sell where Disney is concerned. :)

The only one I can defend is Tom Sawyer -- he does smoke in "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" despite being about 12.

We are probably the only ones who will think this is funny. Everyone else, I'm sure, is most likely  . I'll have to see if I want to post any more of my chapter rants as I keep reading.

:lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
You guys both have me cracking up. My daughter must think I am nuts. I just ordered this book from amazon and its not here yet...I was thinking it would be entertaining for the same reason Charleston Princess mentioned...it talks about Disney World!!! LOL

The Dis is great. It is an instant friend-making place, and everyone is so nice!
I can't wait till you get the book to see what you think. I mean, I know it's meant for preteens, but some of it is slightly ridiculous. I'm definitely going to finish it though, no matter what.

Great update! Tarjay is my favorite store - I am there (at least) on a weekly basis  Gotta love the $1 section!

Congrats on your neice and on rescheduling your Le Cellier ADRs! I have yet to visit this restuarant but we will finally get to visit in May. After reading the rave reviews, I can't wait!

The reviews sold me on Le Cellier. If I had to read, "The steak cut like butter. It just melted in my mouth," I was just going to die. It will be wonderful to finally BE one of those people. :yay:

The whisper technique may actually work. After you get the cruise out of Nick, you'll have to start whispering, "Let's move across the pond, let's move across the pond....." ;)

:rotfl2: Oh how funny, I think I might start with that one and then if I can convince him to that then it will be so much easier to get a Disney cruise out of him cause we will be nearly there - no paying out for 9 hour flights and hotels either side of the cruise, it would be so much cheaper, we could even get annual passes ;)

Miss Botox is a calm dog, except for when you say to her, "Go get your baby." She finds a certain word in that phrase offensive, and she proceeds to viciously attack her stuffed toys. Hmmm...yet another excuse for DH and I to wait to start a family?

Thanks!
I am still a little worried at the way DH so quickly agreed to this cruise. I think I may be asked to make a concession somewhere, and he's planning on blindsiding me with something.
That might just be me being paranoid....:sad1:

:rotfl2: -- yeah, you might want to wait on the whole baby thing...the mental images of what could happen if you were to say something like, "Where's the baby?" are mind-boggling!

I won't be any help on the paranoia -- I am definitely sensing foreshadowing hints of blindsiding. Has he talked about wanting anything lately? :scratchin

:lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Oh, but see, you have cool things like clotted cream and castles! We have chicken gizzards and strip malls!

Oh, you have to keep doing your chapter rants -- I am even going to reread the book, so I can comment on your comments :).

The Dis is super! It's not only an instant friend-making place, but everyone on it loves Disney -- what more can you ask for? :) And everyone has either been on a trip or planning a trip so no one gives you weird looks when you say things like, "So, I was on the food porn thread today and wondering if I can split a Kitchen Sink with my family at Beaches and Cream, swim during our afternoon break without sinking from said Kitchen Sink, be back at Epcot by 5:00, fit in Maelstrom, eat at Teppan Edo while leaving room for tiramasu in Italy, and find good spots for Illuminations before heading back to our resort for an early night." :rotfl2: It's just a normal question on the DIS! :rotfl2:

Here's the deal...
*Ridley Pearson (the author) is all about the use of sentence fragments: "His ability to stay here. To return."
*How original---The people trying to take over the park are called...you guessed it...the Overtakers.
*Isn't Tom Sawyer too young to be smoking? Especially in a Disney park?

Okay, can't resist one last set of comments:

*Obviously Pearson's eyes glazed over and his thoughts wandered the day his middle school teacher went over the components of a complete sentence.

*Overtakers...if they were Undertakers would their plot be centered around the taking over of the Utilidors??? Or will that be the plot of the sequel?

*The real question here: "Was Tom smoking in a Designated Smoking Area? Or was he completely flaunting federal law, endangering his health, AND being discourteous to other park guests???"

Congratulations on the new little one! That baby girl is a little doll! I'll stop in and see her on our way through GA Friday night! :) She is just beautiful. Her little head is so perfect. I love the way a new baby's head smells. It's just the sweetest smell...unless they've spit up recently. Then, it's not so pleasant. Still precious, though.

I like your basket. I'm going to get Brooklynn's Easter present in Disney World. I'm going to let her pick out some kind of toy or stuffed animal or whatever. There could be a few (thousand) things to choose from down there!

I totally understand the fate of Miss Botox's gift. My cat (whom we call cat or buddy or nut or meow-meow or anything but his name) loves all things with feathers. Every once in a while I'll buy him a new feather toy. I'm not sure how he manages, but all we have around here are a few naked little toys - no feathers to be seen!

Two more days and we are on the road! Workshop today and tomorrow, Culture Night festivities at school tomorrow night, fill the refrigerator for the guys before I go, finish paperwork at school before spring break, packing... I don't know why I dare to get on the Dis with so much I have to do, but I guess it could be my addiction. If you could all not write such interesting things, it would sure help me get my work finished!!!

Have a good day!

:thumbsup2 Nice job rebooking LeCellier!

I thought about getting the tins from Target last night but my DS is only 1.5 and he really wouldn't know what the heck it was. But now I'm thinking I need a change holder for my car. Maybe I"ll go back...

Maybe I"ll try you persuasion techniquies on DH and join you for your anny cruise! (not butting in at all here ;) ) I think I may hold off until 2010 and make it a 5 year present for us though. DH doesn't want to cruise. We'll see.

That's too funny that Botox will spend the entire day on the bed! Wish my dogs were stationary. I have to search the whole house to see what mischief happens while I'm not home.

Oh you got Le Cellier, well done. Had you been whispering that into DH's ear at night too then? ;)

How old was the person that wrote this book....5?

That could be...maybe Disney hired a child to write this book. I guess I was just expecting better writing in a product promoted by Disney. However, I am now sucked in, and I must finish this book---and make fun of it all at the same time!

Whew Me-Mom, you have a busy couple of days ahead! Hopefully Disney will allow you a break. Can't wait for more Brooklynn pics when you return. It will be too cute to see what she picks out as her Easter gift. She should have about a million gift possibilities to choose from! ;)

The more the merrier for the cruise! I thought I was crazy for booking a trip NOW that doesn't set sail until OCT. 2009, but I noticed on the DCL thread that there's already a Dis meet thread for that same date! The people on the Dis don't fool around.

Oh you got Le Cellier, well done. Had you been whispering that into DH's ear at night too then? ;)

Yes, it sounded like, "Pretzel bread, cheese soup, chocolate moose, pretzel bread, cheese soup, chocolate moose..."

I truly hope he ends up liking it after the fuss I've made. I can hear it now, "I thought you said this place was Dis recommended?"

OMG! I love this DIS. I just found this site this week. I am so hooked. I am going on my first family trip this Friday. Your plans look awesome. Have you used the touring plans - from the Unoficial Guide? If so do they work?
I have made ADR for California Grill, Ohana, Boma, Hollywood & Vine (Fantasmic Package) and Raglan Road. Any comments?
I love your envelopes- what a great idea. Did anyone post the mousekeepers envelope? Did I miss it? :goodvibes

After hearing about the book.

Before your review.

I was excited.

I ordered it. Haven't read it yet. ......................

Well, I guess I'll see what my 2 middle schooler's think about it. :rotfl2:

You're leaving THIS Friday??? As in tomorrow??? :woohoo: for you!
I have never used the touring plans before, but I'll definitely be using them this time around. I'm afraid to say that I just didn't know about them before. :scared1:
We also booked Ohana after reading so many wonderful things about it. Now, I'm a little nervous since they've been making so many changes to the menu. Either way, I'm sure it will be delicious.
I haven't posted my mousekeeping envelopes yet, but there are several threads full of them over on the DISigns board. Check out those talented people!

Oh no Winkers! I didn't mean to ruin the book experience for you! The book is fine if you take it at face value----a simple read for preteens. I, however, am having quite a good time ripping it apart. It's the evil English teacher in me. I cannot help it. :sad2:

I have developed an addiction. I have been trying to hide it unsuccessfully. I am here today on the Dis to come clean.

I HAVE GOTTEN SUCKED INTO THE DEEP UNDERWORLD OF PIN TRADING :scared1:

I never before had an interest in these pins. Many a time I've walked by the pin kiosks in WDW and never even felt a slight urge to purchase. I secretly laughed to myself at those I saw walking through the parks hunched over under the weight of their pin-jammed lanyards. "What was all the fuss?" I wondered.

Well, how the mighty have fallen!

It all started when I found a thread on here called Pin Trading 101. There was a mention in a post about mousepinsonline.com. As the story goes, one thing led to another, and I found myself on the mousepins site facing quite the dilemma. The question wasn't to buy or not to buy....it was to buy the 25 pin grab bag or the 50 pin grab bag! :scared1:

I can't quite put my finger on what it was that made me purchase. All the pins seemed so shiny and pretty. Fellow Dis members seemed all in a frenzy to get their hands on these pins. There were Tinkerbell lanyards to coordinate...it's all still a blur to tell you the truth.

Before my Disney Visa had a chance to object, the BUY button was hit, and a 25 pin grab bag was on its way...

So, Dis friends, I'll leave you tonight with this:
Now that the pins have arrived, what was in my grab bag? Would one delivery of pins satisfy my craving? Do they look as shiny and pretty in person? Would I be able to convince DH that these pins were "just for my Dec. trip with Faith"?

Oh no, thats never good. I 'accidently' did the same on our last trip, and ended up with a huge bag full of them. And what makes it even worse is I'm not the only addict in the house, Nick is too. You can see some of mine on my pre-trippie, and the thing is half of them need others to complete the set which means I HAVE to buy more. Believe me I dont want to but I HAVE to :sad2: .

Maybe we should set up some PA meetings, Pinaholics Anonymous :confused3

NO!!! You can't leave us with this tonight! I can't possibly wait until tomorrow, or even later, to find out all the fun pin news!!!!!! :sad1:

I love the confession. We will see if we can resist the obsession this week.

When I did my College Program we got a few pin grab bags and a few special CP only pin parties. Needless to say I have an abundance of pins, too. I love them, though!

MUST...SEE...PICTURES...OF...PENS...IN...GRAB...BAGS!!!

Brittbritt, where did you get your Tinkerbell lanyard? I looked at mousepinsonline (just looking and all :)) but didn't see any lanyards. :sad1:
