I would just be the idiot unable to get the meat out, and I'd probably fling a leg over into someone else's Chocolate Wave.![]()

Thanks for reading, and I'm so glad someone is enjoying this.
I can totally relate to your relationship with your half-sis. It's the same with Faith and I. Resisting the urge to spoil her rotten is extremely difficult. Poor Faith didn't get to join us in Alaska, but she received many souvenirs. DH and I would be walking, and I'd pick up a ROCK, and he'd ask me what on Earth I was doing. Gifts for Faith, natch. What other second grader has a rock from Alaska for show and tell? That's what a big sis is for!
Since you have some of the same ADRs, I expect a full dining report from you once you return home.

Oh, the mental image of the crab leg sailing through the Coral Reef is just too much!
I am a lightweight too, and I know I am being overly ambitious thinking I can drink my way around the world during the Food and Wine Festival! But a girl can dream, right?
yummmmm!!!! Your ADR list looks good! (even without le cellier) I still have another month and a half before i get the park calendar and am able to book my ADR's
I'm can't wait though thats when the real planning begins!!!
Yes hopefully will get round to doing the report, I am definitely planning on it anyway![]()
Bet Faith loved her Alaskan pressies. I have been to WDW 3 times, the last 2 were with Sophie (the other was when she was a baby) and we had such a great time together, it will be soooo strange this time going without her. I did consider not going when they said they couldn't come, and she cant believe I'm going without her but I suppose it had to happen some time. And it does mean she will get extra pressies (although I do spoil her loads when we were there together).
Oh and course I like you're report, its great![]()
Just found your pre-trippie! Great great!
We have a lot in common. I got married about the same time as you (10/22/2005) and we got the thrash of Wilma! We were already at WDW though and took advantage of really slow days right after Wilma breezed through. (although it was freezing for FL weather and we had to buy sweats)
AND we had pretty much the same flowers and colors for our weddings! Gotta love chocolate brown and fall foliage!!
Also I will be in WDW this year 9/24-9/28! See we're practically twins!![]()
However DH told me if we don't go to LeCellier this year he will never go with me again. So our DHs are definately NOT twins!![]()
And your sister is totally adorable!
Since I'm obviously a planner, wedding planning was an obsession of mine. Here are some pics from the reception that show our centerpieces. We made/assembled them ourselves. That was stressful!:
Look at Faith's hair by the end of the night! She was complaining about how much it hurt 5 minutes after it was done. I told her to deal with it; it was MY special day!Talk about bridezilla! Clearly the post-marital bliss was setting in by the end of the night, as I ALLOWED her to let her hair down!
The man (who looks like he's having a seizure) on the left is Mike's uncle. His dancing is like something you've never seen before. It's best just to give him space!![]()

I actually printed out tip envelopes for restaurants I'm not eating at until JULY!
I can't decide which one I like best for Yak and Yeti.
I personally like the one on the bottom, but that one's printed on a yellow envelope, and I already have Mama Melrose's on a yellow envelope. ('Ohana's envelope looks yellow, but it's green.) God forbid I have two yellow envelopes! Yes, I am that out of control. There are people out there in the world with real problems...![]()
To get myself more excited about the Coral Reef, I called Diane today about doing the personalized menu. (I left a message.) I think DH would get a big kick out of this, but it will be tough for me to keep this a secret!
But, I do have a question for anyone who's reading: Would it be wrong to do an anniversary-themed menu in July even if our anniversary is really in Oct.?![]()
You see, DH and I won't be back (together) before our anniversary, and we said this trip was in honor of it...What do you think?
I also scheduled possibly the nerdiest tour in all of WDW. On our arrival day at Epcot, DH and I are now booked for the 1:30 'Behind the Seeds' tour. We've always seen people doing this and have always been curious about it, but we've never actually taken the time to look into it. DH doesn't know I've booked it, and I'm not sure if I should tell him or surprise him. I know that I'd be livid if he planned any schedule-altering surprises for me... Scheduling this tour just means we'll check into POP a little later than planned. No big deal.
Has anyone ever taken this tour? DH and I are certainly no green thumbs(as my dead plants currently languishing in the planters outside can attest), but we do both like science, so it should be interesting for us. (I hope!)

Our anniversary is October 14th (10 years earlier) -- loved getting married in October! Your centerpieces are beautiful!
about Mike's uncle -- I bet that made for fun wedding videos! Is he actually dancing in that pic???
It looks like he is trying to shake water out of his ear!
I guess I should post my tip envelopes on my pre-trip -- see, you aren't the only one (there a lot of us nerds and we need to stick together) -- I already have tip envelopes for our ADRs and mousekeeping. The second Yak and Yeti is the one I went with -- so I vote for that one.
Go for the anniversary themed menu -- who cares if it is a little early!
He he he! Did you get the idea for the Behind the Scenes tour from the Complete Guide -- I was reading about it last night and thinking it sounded like fun -- but I don't know if I want to give up an hour and a half from Epcot. I know I definitely want the kids to try and do the Junior Chef program -- little chef's hats and chocolate chip cookies!
I think the nerdy envelopes are pretty cool! We're doing 'Ohana on July 5th, and are very much looking forward to it.
We're Disney nerds, too, because we got Brooklynn's tropical Mickey/Minnie outfit to wear at the 'Ohana meal way back last summer. Who else but a true Disney nerd would buy a special outfit to wear to one meal that is a year away?!?!
It looks like you have a lot of good stuff on your plans. We're coming back home on the 7th, so I'll be back here suffering Disney withdrawal when you're just getting started.
Wow! I am learning so much from the Dis Boards...Tip envelopes? Love it!

did you guys make the tip envelopes or do you print them out??? If you print them out where do you find them?!?I had no idea about these! what an awesome idea... you seriously learn soooo much on the DIS.
YES, HE'S DANCING!His dancing involves a series of jerky movements with no sense of rhythm whatsoever. Arms will flail, legs will kick...It is truly shameful dancing. I can only hope any offspring will inherit my family's sense of coordination.

It was right about this time during the reception that Uncle was called in to work due to an emergency. He runs the local library, and a disgruntled soldier angry about having to return to Iraq had decided to stage a one-man protest and busted out several windows in the library. What's the emergency with a few broken windows you ask? Oh yeah, a HURRICANE was on its way. Poor Uncle had to wait at the library for the windows to be patched with plywood for almost the rest of the night!
Another funny story, when DH and I went to book the hotel where our reception was held, we experienced our own Haunted Mansion moment. You see, rumor has it that the hotel is haunted. (It was even featured on the Travel Channel!) The events coordinator took us up in the service elevator....ohhhh, this sounds like it could almost be a ToT story!....to check out the tables and chairs that we'd be renting from them. When the doors of the elevator opened, the coordinator said, "Ok, you can get out here. The tables and chairs are located on the right just around that corner." When we gave him the strange-eyebrow look implying, "Why aren't you escorting us over to these tables and chairs?" coordinator added, "I don't leave the elevator on this floor. This is where the ghosts are."![]()
Long story short, our guests had a blast during the reception searching the floors of the hotel for ghosts. We even received a ghost mock-umentary from some of our guests as a wedding gift.
Yes, every little bit of trip minutia must be posted on the PTR! (BTW, still waiting for your Minnie Croc pics...![]()
The tour idea came from seeing guests inside the ride before. We always wanted to know how they got IN the ride. But, yes, the Complete Guide sealed the deal.
I am embarrassed, but I bought SEVERAL more books last night. Amazon.com+one click ordering=TROUBLE for BrittBritt. Of course, I will post pics of those books once they've arrived. Must.....document.....everything!
