How Many Trick or Treaters?

Keep track tonight and let's see who's neighborhoods get mobs and who's are kid free.

I don't know what to expect tonight as this is our first year here. My neighbors said they don't get very many so I didn't buy much. I suspect we'll have less than 20 kids as we're on a fairly busy street surrounded by smaller enclosed neighborhoods that are much safer for kids to walk around in.

Time will tell.

We will have around 400 kids. DH made 320 bags, as well as having a bucket of single things. (Just kids who look 14 and under get bags, the high schoolers get the single things.)

When ours was the new neighborhood, we regularly had over 300 kids ring our doorbell on Halloween night. The numbers have been declining over the years due in part to surrounding communities decision to have beggar's night on the same evening and due to the fact that there are more neighborhoods to choose from these days. I still expect that over 200 kids will show up this evening as long as the rain holds off.

we live in a fairly kid free section..but on a street that has no sidewalks and a lot of traffic..last year we bought some candy not knowing if any trick or treaters would show..but we ended up eating it ourselves..as there wasn't ONE..lol!

0! Main rd, no sidewalks, to many cars. Unless you want to count dh, he'll be begging the kids for theirs!

We had easily over 200 last year by the time I turned off the lights. I don't know how many were still out there at the time but a few even rung our doorbell once the lights were out. Sorry, but we had nothing left!

It's cool and rainy here today so it'll be interesting to see how many we get.

First year here but I was told to expect 80-100.

Big difference from when we were in CT, we got about 10 kids!

I'm in. This is our first year in this house. It has started sprinkling tho. I'm thinking if it keeps up everyone will just go to the mall and the town sponsored things. Then DH and I will have to eat all that candy.

:earseek: Holy Cow! You must spend a fortune on halloween!

Last night was trick-or-treat in our neighbor hood and we had about 20 which is up from last year.

We usually get between 100 and 140 depending on the weather and it's suppose to be pretty nice for around here! :)

Yes, we do spend a lot. DH is military though, and the commissary usually has good prices on Halloween candy (plus all the stuff he bought at Walmart!). He really loves seeing all the kids, and gets a kick out of doing this. Funny, though, I am the one who stays home and hands it out, DH takes the kids (and friends) around the neighborhood! We live in a very small town (1 square mile) and all the kids will be around.

We will have 0 we live to far out in the middle of nowhere and the only kids around are ours

but i bought candy anyway
that way i get some :teeth:

I can already tell you we'll have none. We live out in the "boonies" and there's only 6 houses near us.

I won't have any. I live in an apt complex that only has 1 and 2 bedrooms... there aren't a whole lot of kids here.
